Kind of an odd question, why do you ask?
That siad, a Chihuahua puppy cannot go long without food, they can get hypoglycemic and become very ill and die within a fairly short time frame. Older dogs can go longer.....but why should they?

I raise chihuahuas and I leave food for mine out all day. They should not go without food for over 8 hr. Adults can go a little longer unless the adult chi is extra tiny. Chihuahua breeder for 9 yr.
Okay people quit being so hard on the asker. Maybe the dog is going to have surgery and of course they cannot eat before and after either for a few hours. Maybe the dog is sick and has not been eating. The asker may be getting a new chi and needs to know how often to feed it.

Dog's can survive much longer without food than without water. However, since chihuahuas have very little body mass and very little fat, it would not be safe to go for longer than 1 day. I'm sure the dog could actually survive without food for a week but it would be in very poor shape.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aUONg
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

It takes an average sized dog about 2 weeks to die of starvation. Chihuahuas have so little fat store that they would probably be gone in 5 to 6 days.

i dont really know, but i make sure mine has food available at all times, then he just eats small amounts whenever he likes. Although sometimes i'm sure he's gone for a day without eating, you never know what they eat in the garden etc.
Just make water and food always available, then he/she can help itself whenever. Small amounts obviously so it doesnt get overweight.

Seeing as they are very small not very long at all. Chihuahuas are very weak dogs, so don't even try experimenting.
