okay here is the story!

We all had to go to old mexico to drop off my mom and sisters, we left our dog to my brother who lives next door. Now he has owned some dogs so I thought he knew what he was doing!

We come back and he hands me him back, sick!! The dog is a little 6-8 inch tall, and 9-10 weeks old maybe more! He was doing this wierd twitching, spazzing out thing. Now I thought it only got some kinda cold or flu thing going on. so I wash him up and feed him he was looking good. But now he seems weak just before i wrote this he took a dump while laying on his side instead of standing up the normal way, and he is just laying there breathing hard, but the spazzing thing has not gone on for about a week!

The dog probably had a pretty serious seizure. When dogs defecate during a seizure, that means it is the more severe of the two types of seizures. He may have eaten tin foil (which shouldn't be too much of a problem if he's acting ok again) or could be in the beginning stages of epilepsy. Make an appointment with his vet and they can test him for epilepsy. Good luck!

Your brother obviously did something wrong, did you ask him what he fed the dog? Take your dog to the vet. ASAP!! A dog going to the bathroom laying down definitely doesn't sound normal!! I think your dog has something that is more serious that a flu or cold!! Take him to the VET!!!!!!
hope your dog gets better!!

take your dog to the vet and get some tests run. did you recently get your puppy vaccinated? could be a reaction...may be a few weeks before signs of a reaction show up so it may have nothing to do with your bro.

once your dog gets older, please don't overvaccinate your dog. Once they're 6 or 7 years old, they don't need yearly shots bec their immune system has enough protection and they don't need any more shots. in fact, the shots can do more harm than good, especially if they're predisposed to problems that are vaccine related. My dog just passed away because of this so i want to spread the word so no one else's pet dies before their time. good luck.

Your dog could have got sick from the other dogs, and because its still so young itll get sick really easily. Another reason is that the other dogs could have injured him if theyre bigger than your dog....if you take him to the vet theyre going to give him antibiotics for dogs, my dog was sick for almost 2 week and we though she was going to die but because i nursed her and fed her and took really good care of her she slowly started coming out of her slump, well good luck with your situation (=) hope your dog makes it!

I agree with these other guys. This could be very serious. I think an emergency visit to the vet is in order. Don't delay. Please keep us posted on what the vet says.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery for your puppy!

Take him to the vet. It could be some type of serious virus. If he was around any other dogs he could of got it from them. since he is so small and young his immune system is not as strong yet.
