I just brought my dog in and it threw up this yellow, thick fluid, how can I make it throw up more of it with what is at home? Or at a local Wal-Mart, but I would prefer something that I have in my house, as I have no vehicle.

Your dog doesn't need to throw up more. It is throwing up stomach bile now. Thats the yellow stuff. Get a cool wet towel and wrap your dog up in it he's overheated. Offer him some cool clean water to drink. Keep him near a fan and replacde the towel every few minutes with another wet cool towel. Make sure you have it on his stomach and under it arm pits.

Hydrogen peroxide will induce vomiting in most dogs. However, it really doesn't sound like a good idea for you to induce more vomiting in your dog. What you describe sounds exactly like bile...usually dogs only puke this up when there is nothing else in their stomach (it is also common for dogs to puke bile if they eat grass) and there is absolutely no reason to make him puke again. An empty stomach is the most common cause for a dog to vomit bile.

As a side note, you really should have veterinary advice before deciding to induce vomiting. Some caustic agents that cause vomiting will burn the eosophagas both on the way down and on the way back up if the dog vomits. The last thing you want to do if your dog has ingested these caustic agents is to make the chemical burns worse by inducing vomiting (the best thing is to get to a vet quickly so that they can administer something to neutralize the caustic agents). If you do not know why your dog is vomiting (or more specifically what the dog ingested to cause the vomiting), then you probably don't want to induce vomiting at the risk of increasing the damage to the GI tract.

use hydrogen peroxide. one teaspoon for small dogs. Are you sure he needs to vomit again? Is the fluid foamy? When my dogs dont eat they throw up a yellow foamy substance. if this is the case, your dog does not need you to induce vomiting. Has he possibly gotten into anything toxic? You may want to find a neighbor or call a cab to take you to the vet. Advice over the internet cannot spot a potentially life-threatening problem.

Yellow thick fluid when a dog throws up is usually stomach acid. You trying to get him to throw up more would be cruel and uncalled for. Has he been fed today? Something in his stomach (dog food) will help his upset stomach. If he is throwing up stomach acid, his stomach evidently has nothing in it. Try giving him fresh water and some food. A saltine cracker may settle his tummy if he isn't feeling well.

Why do you want it to throw up more? Your dog probably ate grass to make itself throw up. I would NOT try to induce it without speaking to a vet.

Unless he's choking, you don't need to induce. Sometimes they just throw that up because their stomach is gassy or upset. He's probably fine now.

That is a normal reaction after eating grass, they do it to clean their stomach or if their stomach isn't feeling all that well.
