No , it's basically a dog thats ben bred to be so tiny to attract people to buy it unknowingly oh all the health complications it will most likely have as it ages.

animals intentionally bred to be petite - aka people messing with dogs ( to make pocket / tea cup breeds- in hopes of making profits- do it to make money & not care about the dogs health - so be VERY careful if your looking for a 'teacup' / /pocket dog

They should not exist at all. A "teacup" anything is created by an unscrupulous breeder that breeds dogs smaller than standard because the public is demanding smaller dogs. These dogs are often sickly and frail and more subject to health problems. Avoid a "teacup" at all costs.

technically there is no such thing as a "teacup" ANYTHING! This is just a cutsie name for either the runt of the litter or the offspring of other runts bred together to make smaller dogs...in general these dogs suffer form health conditions & are overall unhealthy......any reputable breeder will not tell you they have teacup puppies as like I sad ...no such thing

Teacup is just another word for runt of the litter.
Also, the term "teacup" really isn't use to describe smaller size Shih-Tzus, instead, they're called "Imperial Shih-Tzus".
A runt is a runt.
