if your looking at the professional track you need a professional trainer you just cant compeate with only after work weekend training time.
For the hobby type- try racing-l list and hit the NGA site for a copy of "Care of the Racing Greyhound"

Umm if your wanting to do this for profit I suggst you think again ... Plus it is a very cruel sport - Alot of race dog are mis treated starves , & owners just shoot dogs they think aren't fast enough - when sadly they could have just given them away to people for pets - which they make amazing pets !

But if you genuinly are intrested for fun activities with your dogs look into contacting a LURE Coursing Club or group such as http://www.mahahounds.org/coursinginfo.htm
it' not racing just - chasing a fake ' bunny & they get points for skill technique etc tc & the dogs love it !!

Even the Whippet/saluki/ANY sighthound groups!!!
Somebody who'd actually KNOW WTF they're talking about?
ANY of the THOUSANDS of REAL LIVE PEOPLE who *DO* race???
