lately, after the arrival of the new litter of husky puppies, my malamute has been showing aggression towards them. The mother of the puppies tries to protect them but each time she fails, she just walks away, leaving the puppies there. what should i do?

You need to keep the malamute in a different room from the babies. No other dog should be in the room except for the mother, atleast until they are old enough to fend for themselves.

You should never allow a male or any other female dog near the pups. I never allowed any of my males or other females near a new litter at all not even the Father. Mine never showed any agression towards the pups but I never gave any of them the chance do it either.
Mom should not be put into that kind of situation.
Keep them totally away from the litter until they have all been rehomed. You know they cant be trusted if you dont they will kill the entire litter.

this goes back to the wolf the malmute is apparently the alpha dog, she may try to kill them and the lower dog will leave teh pups.
In teh wild they may do this so the best will survive teh ones born of teh alfa. Even if she doesn't have pups she may attempt to kill them.
It is very important that seh not be allowed where teh pups are.
Good Luck
