I think it's crazy that breeders are charging more than a house/car payment for a prue bred puppy.

Pit Bulls are thought of as dangerous dogs that can turn on you in a minute, right? WRONG!! It's not the dog, but the breeder and owner who make a killer out of these sweet and smart dogs. I'm sadden by how many of you dislike this intellent dog because of it's label. People make dogs bad. Inbreeding and abuse will turn any dog, no matter how gentel into a timebomb waiting to blow. Shame on all of you who believe what the media says about these dogs!
Punish the Deed, NOT the Breed!!

We went fishing at the lake for about an hour and a half in the heat of the day and by the time we were getting ready to leave she was laying next to me which she's usually running around all the time at the lake. All the way home she layed down in the back of the truck which she also never does. She's been very tired around the house and shaky when she gets up after we call. Any advice would be great.

My neighbor has two dangerous dogs who bark and seem to want to jump the fence at everyone who walks by the house. I have a 10 year old and I'm scared that these dogs will eventually jump the fence and attack someone. What can I do? I am not sure of their race, but its one of those attack dogs.

My friend has a very ill german shepherd mix dog who is about 3 years old. Its always running around and ripping things up. My friend has to make sure she's awake every afternoon for the postman so the dog dose not rip up th mail. She is sick of its mental health problems. She dose not have the financial capability and have it put down my a vet. Would drowning it in the bath be a fast way of getting rid? Any advice would be great.

We think my 7 year old Doberman Pinscher has cancer. He has been pooping blood, and he is really skinny. He had a huge tumor on his chest, but the doc said nothing was wrong. He doesn't eat, and I am worried about him. He seems alright, but I still don't know. He also seems to have a limp in his right front leg, right next to where the tumor was located. PLEASE HELP!! :((

I have a 14 month old Australian Sheherd. My roommate just got a small kitten. How do we make them be friends? My dog seems like she wants to play but is VERY rough. If the kitten gets near her she licks it all over and knocks it down with her paws. The kitten has no fear of dogs as it lived with one before we got him. My dog acts very excited and focussed when the kitty is in the room. She whines and twitches and watches it carefully. I have kept her on a leash when the kitty is out and kept the kitty in a different room when I can not do this. It has only been 2 days, but we won't be able to do this forever! Anyone have any advise on how to get the dog to leave the kitty alone, or at least play nice? If you have successfully done this how long did it take?

My neighbor's little Chihuahua comes over and takes a dump on a daily basis. The piles of turds are tiny but annoying. The dogs shows her teeth when I approach her to chase her away. I know I can't step on her since she only weighs about 6 lbs.

last week someone asked why do pit bull owners feel as though they need to defend the breed. please feel free to go in my profile and in my answers read the 8th question pit bulls and what are they? and if you have time her read her replys back to the answers.
i could not belive this person that says she works with animals!! What can we do as owners of these hated dogs ? it scares me to know that people like her exsits in the the animal hospitals and shelters. then she asked a question , right ? so why did she only pick the person that agreed with her ?? well what i wanted was for people to share their stories about these great dogs and maybe people will see that inside these " terriable beast " is a sweet animal that only wants to please their humans. it is not their fault that they are raised a certin way. and that was my point about german shepards.if it cant speak my language then they are unpredictable in my book.

My coworker leaves his puppy in his car (the puppy is in it right now) hes parked in the shade, windows are down a crack on one side and there is water in the car... People talked to him about it but the dog is still in the car! Its pretty hot and sunny outside in Connecticut right now and my boss doesnt want me to say anything because then the offender/animal abuser will think it was her. I'm really pissed off right now!!!!! what should I do? what would you do? People already went up to the window and the dog is lethargic, and its a puppy!! It would only barely lift up its head!

My dog is going to have puppies in a few weeks, and I want to know if we can give them all their shots ourself or if we have to take all of them to the vet to get it done. Also, do we need to take the mother to the vet? Like women and their baby doctors? And how old do the puppies have to be before we can give them away?

My Rottie puppy was perfectly healthy one minute, very ill the next and died within hours of finding her sick. There is no emergency vet close to where I live, and she passed as I was trying to find a vet to take her to. I believe she was poisoned. I have two older dogs that also run that yard and if she was poisoned, I need to find the source as soon as possible so they do not become ill. Is there anyway to tell what poisoned her? She was 7 months old, and up-to-date on all of her shots. She was perfectly fine through out the day untill around 5pm, when she started showing signs of lethargy, and some discharge from her mouth. She wouldn't eat or drink. Around 7pm she vomited a little fluid. By this time I was frantic, she was very lethargic and breathing heavy. Soon after, she began to hemorage blood and died. Can anyone tell me what sort of poison this could have been? Could it have been a plant or something the other dogs could get into, or could it have been intentional?

So im trying to adopt a Pittbull that i found online. I feel for that breed. They're beautiful wonderfull dogs. And all the
BULL*** hype that ppl say about the breed i dont believe and do believe that it's the owners the majority of the time. This is a breed that needs a lot of work, attention, socialization and cant be brought up as a guard dog. So on that note i want to be able to support this breed.
I have applied to adopt a 9 month old pittbull mix (they think with lab) he apparently is good with dogs, cats, and kids. But i have read if considering a pittbull to go with the oposite sex??? I have a male boxer now and "Boomer" who im trying to adopt is male. Do you think that'll make any difference where he's been socialized so well already and where he's so young. He's actually at a foster home so he's not caged up all day. Apparently a well behaved pup.
Anyway if u have a pitt and other dogs i would love to hear how it works for you. :)

And every time I walk or jog by their house, their dog comes out and chases me. I don't want to cause any trouble, but I don't think they should be leaving their dog unleashed- it's dangerous for me and for little kids.

I jog a lot, and honestly, I want to be able to jog down my own road without a dumb dog coming out and attacking me. I know I could just take alternate routes, but I think it's a little ridiculous that a dog is posing a threat to myself and to younger kids. What do you think?
