We think my 7 year old Doberman Pinscher has cancer. He has been pooping blood, and he is really skinny. He had a huge tumor on his chest, but the doc said nothing was wrong. He doesn't eat, and I am worried about him. He seems alright, but I still don't know. He also seems to have a limp in his right front leg, right next to where the tumor was located. PLEASE HELP!! :((

Find another vet. If your vet said nothing was wrong when your dog was passing blood and obviously had some sort of tumor, its definitely time to get a second opinon.

It seems that you need to change Vets, ASAP ! It is NOT fair for your Dobe to be in pain and possibly bleeding out internally. When you say, the tumor was nothing? Does that mean the pathology results were benign? How long has it been since the removal?

A vet wouldn't have said nothing's wrong. You never know for certain if a tumor is benign or malignant until it is aspirated or a biopsy is performed. A vet wouldn't ignore these signs...get the dog to a vet.

Get him to another vet ASAP Preferably a cancer specialist!! I lost a Dobie to Osteosarcoma (bone cancer), and it does seem to run in the breed. I took my boy to three vets at the time. My regular vet, then an orthopedic and finally a cancer specialist!! Bone cancer is very painful & deadly!! Good luck!!!

Your dog needs to get to a vet -- NOW. Not the same stupid vet who told you nothing was wrong, a REAL vet. He won't eat and has rectal bleeding -- do you REALLY need us to tell you how sick your dog is??

Your dog is suffering horribly. Cancer is one of the most painful things that can happen to a living being. PLEASE get your dog to a vet -- TODAY!!

I'm so sorry this is happening -- but you really do have to deal with it. My sympathy.

Go to another vet and get a second opinion. You're right - he's not ok. Go see a vet who will run tests and examine him thoroughly.

Best of luck to you.
