My American Eskie puppy sleeps in his crate, but wakes up when the sun comes out and cries to be let out. If we let him out in our room, he jumps all over us, not letting us sleep either. (he doesn't have to use the bathroom and isn't hungry or thirsty either) We have tried to ignore his cries in the morning, hoping he will learn, but then we can't go back to sleep. How do I train him to be quiet in his crate until we let him out?

I have a 1 year old black lab and I would like to let her out in the front yard. The backyard is fenced, but I am having problems letting her out front, she bolts and I end up chasing her all over the neighborhood. She is an indoor dog mostly, just goes out to play. Thanks!

My aunt just recently got a 2 month old bull dog/beagle mix and it was sweet at first but then it started biting and going wild the vetrenarian said it was teething and we think otherwise. My aount has tried a trainer that is supposed to be really good but there has been no luck. The dog goes wild around people and it never had an owner it has a mean streak.
This biting mode that we can't get it out of we have to put it into the cage that it sleeps in but then when we take it out it still is biting. it does the biting on purpose and it likes it and we looked up a pitbull puppy it looks just like it. The dog has the intention to hurt just like a pitbull. My aunt wants to give it up but she spent $1300 on it and it just keeps on biting. She is worrying about it killing someone when it grows up and if it doesn't get out of the biting phase she might have to put it down do you think fixing it would work the dog is a male?

They are 4.5 and 5.5 years old. The younger has been the alpha and has been a bully for the last 3 years toward the older and larger dog. Both spay females. The older dog is a 60 lb Blue Healer Aussie Mix. Generally mellow. The other is a 50 lb Dalmation-Terrier mix. Very high energy. I wonder if the older and larger dog has recently decided to challenge for alpha status?

I have a 1 year old female pompoochi and she loves to play with other dogs. I thought she needs a sister to play with all the time. I adopted a 2 year old carin terrier and the humane society people said she also loved to play with other dogs. They are not getting along much less playing with each other. Every time my pompoochi tries to play by her self the carin walks over and stares at her and circles her until she lies down in submission. Everytime the pompoochi tries to play with the carin she growls and it ends in a fight. I thought it would make my pompoochi's life happier and I think I ruined her life. Will they ever get along? How can I help the process along?

I know a lot of dog foods are overpriced but are really no better. We haven't had any luck with foods yet for our dog's skin allergies. I've heard about Canidae and wondered if anyone has tried it. Is it worth the money?

We knew she would chew, and understandably, she is a puppy. She is chewing everything (sandals, sneakers, paper, pillows, blankets, wires, controllers, etc.) We did get her chew toys that the vet recommended, but she chews on everything. We dont really mind, and are being patient with her. We are also trying to clean up all the potentially dangerous things from her reach (wires, plastic,...), but I was wondering when she would outgrow this habit. Also, when I play with her she is chewing and nipping my fingers, arms, and feet. She is a fairly calm pup, but when she gets wild its tough, and when I try to physically play with her this is when she begins to nip me. It seems her jaws are getting stronger and stronger every day, and today she drew blood. I do not know what to do, I feel like pushing her with force off of me but i know that a) that will not accomplish anything, and b) I'd never hit a dog. Im thinking of putting something on my hands that doesnt taste good, so when she bites

Im curious of some of your own ways (most effective to you) that you've used to house trained your dog. I've seen some people say its extremely easy, and that their dog learned it in no time, while others said it was impossible (though i find that hard to believe). Im curious of some of your most Fastest and Best techniques used to house train your pups!

Im curious to find out... earlier today i cooked some rigatoni with some light fresh garlic, some browned butter and tomato sauce. Shortly after preparing my plate, I set it on the table and went into the other room to take a call.

After finishing my call i returned to my lunch and noticed that some of my rigatoni had vanished. I looked over and saw my pug sitting on the floor with a not so innocent look on her face as she wiggled her tail nervously with tomato sauce on her nose and mouth.

I dont usually feed my pug anything but dog kibble, so im just a little worried as to whether or not any of the ingredients i mentioned may make her sick? Anyone out there familiar with something like this?

Thanks to all who respond.

a young cocker spaniel walked up my driveway while i was playing with my dog. i took it in my house and showered it (because it was really dirty), cleaned his ears (because he has a bad ear infection), and put flea meds on it. We have tried to call the owners several times but no one ever picks up. honestly, i really don't want to give it back to a bad owner...he was filthy, had a real bad ear infection (kept on scratching it), etc. am i allowed to keep the dog if the owners don't turn up?

I have a 3yr. old german shepherd and I switched her to Canidae. I switched to Canidae because I heared it is very natural and has no fillers. And also heared that Canidae is one of the best dog foods. And that Canidae has been one of the best for a long time now. So am I doing the right thing by feeding my dog Canidae and is it a good and healthy brand name dog food?
