Well when she barks outside, just bring her in. I read about putting them in timeout for like 15 minutes. Do no punish her - it won't do anything. Use your command voice when you say "quiet". Praise her when she shuts up. Watch dog whisperer---he had an episode on that that was really good.... I have barkers and I just bring them inside when they won't stop. Inside I use my command voice and say "quiet" or "shhhht" if I am nearby and they continue after a count of three I squirt them with my water bottle...works well. So I say "quiet" count to three and then squirt. They are quiet.

i think of you may desire to take your dogs to a coach and communicate this with him/her. you will could desire to artwork jointly with your dogs to instruct him a quiet command. one way you're able to try this's to get a water gun, and promptly squirt the dogs while he barks and say quiet. Then, the minute he stops (many times purely from the sweetness of being sprayed with water) compliment him by using petting him and giving him a take care of. try this back and back until he knows that quiet potential no longer barking. additionally, you may desire to seem at how lots exercising your dogs is getting. he's attending to the age the place he will choose greater exercising than he did while he replaced into 2-3 months old. make certain you're taking him for a protracted walk or run interior the park. Plus, play some video games interior the night and perform a little guidance. He could desire to be so drained by using the time you pass to mattress, that he would be chuffed to curve up everywhere and sleep.

I love these tips,my 5 1/2mth old shihTzu barks at me when I tell her no biting,I tried the water bottle! but matters got worse,it seems the only punishment for her that helps, is a time out alone in a room, she comes out quite calm after only 5 mins.If she nips at me I tell her No or, I repeat the same treatment also.

Shihtsu's are high strung and easily excitable . They don't like to be outdoors for long periods of time . They love pampering ; but then so do most dogs . She won't bark quite as much when she gets older .

Get a small plastic jar or small can, like nuts come in. Put a handful of pennies in it. And shake it when she barks at nothing. My Yorkie barked alot. I do this and she stops immediately.

No smacking on the nose. Not a good form of correction. You could try a squirt bottle and when she barks you reprimand her."Quiet".I personally like training them to "Speak" or "No speak".
