I have a 3yr. old german shepherd and I switched her to Canidae. I switched to Canidae because I heared it is very natural and has no fillers. And also heared that Canidae is one of the best dog foods. And that Canidae has been one of the best for a long time now. So am I doing the right thing by feeding my dog Canidae and is it a good and healthy brand name dog food?

I feed Innova Evo, and mix it with raw foods. For me, this is the best. But that is because I feed Evo, not regular Innova. If you are just going for the regular Innova, it is about the same as Canidae and Natural Balance( Though personally, I feel that Innova is a little better). But Canadae is great. They(Natura Foods) do use menu foods to do some of their stuff, but is isn't at the same plant that was having all the problems. There are several menu foods facilities. Personally, I would reccomend the Innova Evo, it is a raw diet substitute, and can be mixed with other raw foods. Mostly, I use it because it contains absolutely no grains. All those other foods, even regular Innova are amazing foods, but they contain grains. The person that said that these foods don't have everything a dog needs....are you serious? Alpo is absolute crap! All kibbles really aren't that great for dogs, but this stuff is the closest you can get to the perfect dogfood.

Canidae is a fabulous food ! It has super ingredients, no cheap fillers, plenty of meat protein...a really great food.

I think it's a great food for your dog, especially with the recent pet food additive scare. I just switched my two Greyhounds to it and they love it!

It is a very good food. My dogs all do very well on it. And it is grain free, so no worries about contaminated wheat gluten.
