Just type in your city and state and SPCA.( EX: San Diego Humane Society) into your search engine the sites will pop up. Most of the SPCA's, Animal Shelters and Humane societys have websites up with pictures and descriptions of adoptable animals. You are doing an awesome thing by adopting. Good luck with your new pet!

Try doing a local search on the Yahoo! homepage for Animal adoption in your city. The result should show you not only the information for your local pet adoption but will also link you to those orginazation's web site where you will most likely be able to see pictures

The most amazing website is www.petfinder.com you can search geographically, by breed, size or age. It is a fantastic site, be prepared to spend a very long time looking at it! : )

http://www.petfinder.com is the perfect website for finding dogs who are for adoption in animal shelters and rescue groups in your area. You can search for dogs based on breed, size, age, and gender. Good Luck in your search! I adopted my dog a few months ago, and she is perfect for us!!
