Depends on where you live, I think. I'm in Atlanta, and we recently buried our 14 year old beagle, CK, in a pet cemetery. They did a little service for us as well at the grave. I'd do a google search for pet cemeteries near you.

Hey, Why not explain to the 5 year old and say this is whats going to happen and why it's happening and then give the child the option to go or not. Say it will be sad and you will not be able to grandma again! I don't think it's the time or place for a 2 year old to go... But at 5 your child should be aloud to make their own decision. Also explain that in the church where the funeral will be it will be very long and say that s/he can take a book if s/he reads quietly or maybe take a toy that doesn't make noise and maybe you can sit up the back with s/he so that s/he doesn't distract too many people and if s/he gets a bit vocal then you can make a quick exit! Good Luck

Whatever you plan for them. Seriously. There are cemetaries for pets, and it is possible to have services for them there. While I don't know of any pet funeral homes, I do know of funerals for pets that were quite similar to what humans have.

You can also have your pet cremated and bury it where ever you wish with whatever kind of service you like.

Yes, there are indeed pet cemeteries and they can help you perform any kind of service that you want for your beloved dog. Ask your vet or look in the Yellow Pages.

All my sympathy.

My dogs and cat are all actually prepaid for their funerals, they have plots of land and gravestones that are going to be carved when they pass. There will be a service as well as.
