My dog has some slight hair loss, the hair that is left is getting a reddish tint, and her skin is getting discolorations. The hair that is turning red is only in the spot of the discoloring skin.

On Easter Sunday my Uncle ran over my cute little dog! I was so sad I cried and cried, now when I want another dog do you think he should be responsible for paying or at least helping me pay? How do I ask him?

My dog will eat a certain brand, and love it, and then all of a sudden, she won't even think about eating it. But will eat another brand. I have several bags of dog food just wasting away because she "changed her mind" and now dosen't like it!! Isn't that silly, or is this normal?

Oh, please no rude comments about how dumb I am or how stupid it is that I have a doberman. I don't care to hear that. I just want to know what other Dobe's are eating. And if this behaviour is strange or is my dog just being stubborn, or if she is just being a spoiled brat?

This morning my female dog was itiching her ear and she yelped really loud, I looked inside her ear and it was bleeding and had brown residue all over the inside of her ear, it has a bad odor as well, I cleaned her ear out well and put some polysporne on it. My hubby thinks she may have mites, but I think it an ear infection. Did i do the right thing to make her feel better until Monday when we see the vet? Is there another way i can relive the pain in her ear? please help me.

We have a 14 year old pug who has bad breath. She won't allow us to brush them. Vet tells us the only way for him to do this is to sedate her. Were afraid to do this, because of her age Any Tips

I have a 3 yr old unneutered Lab. Because he is so unusual (he is what the vet called a bull lab because of his size and head shape) we chose not to have him fixed and to stud him out. He is usually a really sweet dog and a beloved member of the family. Until last night when my 12 yr old had a sleep over and he girls were getting a little rambunckous he tried to mount one of the little girls and when my 12 yr old tried to pull him off he bit her . We have since decided to have him fixed but since he has already excibited this behavior is this going to be enough to stop the behavior?

I'm not going to neuter a dog to actually stop 'humping', but for curiosity's sake I'm just curious as to whether or not I will have to watch my legs all the time.

I just found a tick on my shih tzu's head today! It was small, and when I found it, it was still scrambling about, trying to get away from me. I was able to get it out, and when I killed it, there was some blood in it. I don't know if it already sucked my dog's blood or not, but when I found the tick, it wasn't buried inside my dog's skin. So...with that in mind, should I be worrying? I don't understand how she can get a tick when she's on Advantage and her next monthly dosage isn't even up yet!

I notice every dog I've owned does the same thing...circle where they plan to lay down a few times, like trying to make a decision as to whether or nor they want to, and then they finally settle down...

I have a two/three-year-old white German Shepherd female. She's spayed, current on shots and has no health conditions that we know of. Recently, she started smelling extremely bad, usually after laying down for awhile, and this isn't usual dog order. She will be laying seven feet away from me and I will be overwhelmed with a horrible almost stale/moldy feet smell. (I kind of reminds me of rotten fritos chips.) We gave her a thorough bathing but the smell has been coming back. The thing is, it isn't always there, like it only seems to come after she's been lying down for awhile. I'm fairly sure it isn't gas, it smells nothing like that, and she has been on the same diet for over a year but I haven't been able to figure out what's making her smell so bad. Any ideas on whats causing this or tips on how to eliminate this horrible odor?

Our dog has just come out of a seizure and is now walking aimlessly around the house, getting stucking in corners and walking into walls. She has been in pretty poor shape for awhile and we're pretty sure this is the end of the road. However we aren't sure what to do with her until then. I think just locking her in her cage until the time comes is the best thing to do because she won't be as confused and walking into things. My mom however thinks thats cruel and would rather have her wandering and possibly urinating everywhere.

Thoughts?

I'm not being nasty here but for goodness sake, do they even realise the problems they are creating and causing? Just cause a dog can breed, like some humans, does not mean they should, who agrees? Who disagrees?
