We 1st go out puppy Charlie when he was 7 weeks, he got a very serious case of Mange(if he doesn’t recover we will have to put him down). We were told to cancel his vaccination appointment, because he will not be able to have his shots. We might not be able to get his shot for another month or more! We do not let him outside, I do take him for little walks, but I have him in a little pouch around my chest. He wants to go outside SOO bad, and we want to let him.. We are worried about him getting a complex about going outside, and trying to make a “break” for it every time we go for the door!(he doesn’t do it now but you can tell he gets so sad when we go out, and he cant come with us). I was wondering if anyone and any suggestions, on ways to get around it? We have though about getting him little shoes to keep his paws clean. Any Ideas on how to let him outside, with out truly letting him outside? We just want him to be happy! I know it seems like a stupid question. anything will help!

I just asked the question about my dog that was in heat with a male dog in the house. For one, I definitely don't appreciate the jerk who said he was laughing at my question this site is for people who need help. My male dog wasn’t yelping in pleasure he was trying to run away. Can someone tell me what that means please?

My 6 month puppy Cockapoo that is in very good health got hit with a broom on his backside by my crazy old neighbor. He went limp and I bathed him with cold water to revive him a bit. He was dazed for the first day and the day after that he was completly normal, waggin his tail and show no signs of pain.
The day after, which was yesterday, he woke up and did not use his rear legs. He shifted his weight to his front legs and barely put weight on his rear legs. He also peed on himself all day.
He was able to urinate and poop on his own when i took him outside, with no problem. Also, he's able to move his back legs and if they're pinched he feels the pain. He is able to wag his tail and i've tried to feel around for a painful spot but he hasn't responded to anything.
I took him to the vet this morning. He said that it might be a spinal disk and he gave him pain meds and a steroid injection. I was wondering what the steroid shot was for?

My daschie tears up every toy we get him. He then eats it or the stuffing out it and gets sick. He does not like rubber toys. His favorite are plush toys. But, they usually last about an hour. He loves his toys so much. He mourns each one we have to throw away. He has two rope toys right now. That is all he has left. Is there anything else other than rope toys that he will not tear up?

My husband saw soemthing about a recal on one type of Natural Balance dog food. I think the Vennison type. I feed her Duck type. If one is unsafe, should I be worried about the others? I started feeding her Natural Balance because it is suposed to be so healthy. I am seriously thinking about making her food myself.

I recently found the BusterCube was PetSmart and was told it was too big for my now 10wk old yorkie/toy fox terrier mix so when I went to Petco I found a mini BusterCube and it said for dogs 0-22lbs so I bought one for my puppy and I let her sniff the hole where I put her food in it and rolled it around for her, but she doesn't seem to understand that if she rolls it around she'll get the food out. Does BusterCube for their dog, does it work? Has anyone heard of it? Any suggestions on how to get my pup to play with it?

It happens when she's in a deep sleep and she's not even aware it has happened. Does this normally happen with older dogs?

Steps I have taken:
1. Consulted 3 vets- unable to answer my
questions. Or offer suggestions.
2. Wake her up periodically. Which has
helped while I'm home.
3. Tried doggie diapers.

Scernario:
1. Live in Bangkok, Thailand
2. Can't leave dogs outside when I'm not
not home because of the heat.
3. Have doggie door.
4. Animal medications are very limited here.
They don't even sell flea collars or double
coated brushes.
What else can I do to stop this from happening?

No smart-alec answers please. I have tried since he was a little puppy and nothing seems to work. I have tried redirection with toys, spray-bottle with water and even a little lemon juice added only to see him liking it and licking it. I have tried the bitter apple spray on our arms. Again, he just licks it off and grabs hold of our arms. I have tried holding his snout and saying "no bite". He kind of chews and nips. He thinks he is playing, but he really hurts sometimes. I have tried crating him everytime he does it and that doesn't work either. The only thing that seems to work sometimes is when I take him in the yard and tire him out. But even after he rests for about an hour, he starts grabbing our arms again. Other than this, he is super intelligent and you give him food from your hand, he takes it gently. I'm at my wits end. HELP!

I'm not sure I am going to do it but I have considered it. How hard is it and what is the cost involved? I love in a condo so I wonder if space would be the issue. I would be breeding either a pomeranian or a yorkie. Thank you for your answers.

Puppies are not ALL born with worms. If the mother was dewormed while pregnant (and she should have been) they will not have worms. There's no reason for it.

Hands up who is aware of this!
(no doubt many petshop products give dire warnings about administering to pregnant or lactating b itches, or young pups. They should do, they're dangerous. Veterinary products are designed to work and be given to young/pregnant/lactating animals)

10 points for the person who knows the correct b itch/puppy worming regime!
