Dog urine has a lot of Nitrogen!...Just like fertilizer. Too much will "burn up" your grass. You can water the spots just after your dog goes or you can give them a pill to cut down on the amount of Nitrogen in the pee. It's called "Lawn Guard". From Dr's. www.drsfostersmith.com.

The excess nitrogen in dog pee kills grass. Water that spot frequently to wash away the excess nitrogen salts. You can also reseed the spot and see if you can get the grass to come back up.

Probably. And dogs tend to go in the SAME spot- too. Cut the spot out, & reseed it with grass. This is the time of year to do it, too. :)

i understand the sensation, i've got have been given 2 dogs myself. They do sell a product spoke of as dogs Patch or different grass seed and mulch combination this is designed for the aspects killed via dogs urine. this is relatively easy to plant and the grass grows extremely quickly as long as this is watered frequently while this is first planted.

Yep, Pee but you can go to your local Pet store and buy a pee post. Small plastic yellow post and move it to somewhere you prefer your pal to pee.
