I just asked the question about my dog that was in heat with a male dog in the house. For one, I definitely don't appreciate the jerk who said he was laughing at my question this site is for people who need help. My male dog wasn’t yelping in pleasure he was trying to run away. Can someone tell me what that means please?

when dogs mate, the males 'thing' expands so it wont come out of the female easily (on purpose - this gives greater chance of fertilising the female). if the male is a different breed and is much larger than the female, it can tear the female, hurt the male causing some potentially major problems.

if they are the same size, it can still hurt both of them because it expands. when dogs breed, the breeder is supposed to stay with them to comfort them until he is able to move back out of her again - they can be stuck together for several minutes.

this is why they were yelping. breeding for dogs isnt as pleasureable as it is for humans! do NOT try to tear them apart or you can cause permanent damage.

dont let them do it again. if you leave a male and female dog along all day, they will literally keep going at it and in some cases the male dog can die from exhaustion.

seperate them or have the female spayed - then she wont let the male mount her.

just because he cant produce pups any more, doesnt mean he no longer has the instinct.

A yes I have a female that when shes in heat I joke that I have to be careful that I dont let her near my neutered male with a rope least he find himself hog tied and raped. If shes bothering him horribly you are going to have to seperate them.

When the female is in heat, send the male to boarding school for 2 weeks..Ooooopps! You are the one with the neutered male.
Just keep them apart as much as possible. She will tease him and keep him miserable if you allow her to..

Unless you are planning to breed these dogs, I would get them both fixed and that would solve alot.
