I'm trying to avoid going to the doctor, as I am a single mother of 2 and really can't afford it right now. So if there is anyone out there that had or knows about this, please let me know what I should do.
Thanks!!

Heres the add :

DOBERMAN Puppies. Red male. Red female. Tails docked. Dew claws removed. Parents on site.

when I call to inquire about them what questions should I ask? I hate getting on the phone and asking pointless questions and have an awkward silence on the phone, haha.

Thanks everyone.

Hi, my recent dog just passed away a couple of weeks ago. It's been tough without a dog, and the presence and affection is deeply missed. We are looking to get a new puppy, and kitten. I was just wondering if any specific dog breeds are better with other animals than others. We are getting both young, so that should help growing up with each other. We're spending more time into researching and looking at dogs, so we probably will get the kitten 1 or 2 months before the pup. Any suggestions on breeds, info, tips etc...? thanks. Also, I really would like to get a pound puppy (our past 2 dogs were great dogs from the pound), but I am having a lot of trouble finding young baby pups in pounds. The youngest age I have found was 5 months or so.

i have a miniature schnauzer and it seems lately she is always sick. she's been to the vet on average about three times a month for the last four months. this last time they gave her medicine and she seemed okay. today she is throwing up yellow bile or something. what is going on? is there something i can do to make her better? will she always be this way? i have changed her to an all natural diet and she gets plenty of exercise yet she still gets sick. can someone please help me?

I've been looking to add another dog to my already existing dog family of two yorkies. I would like to adopt a dog from a shelter b/c I know it would help save a life, however everytme I step foot in a shelter I end up crying uncontrollably b/c it pains me to see all these animals in their cages looking at me with those sad eyes. It hurts to watch people walk right by the older dogs (as the dogs try to get their attention) straight to the puppies b/c people don't want adult dogs. I want to take them all home and it really pains me that I can't, which is why I just end up crying like a baby and leave without doing anything. My two yorkies were given to me as gifts, and I feel guilty purchasing a puppy when i know there are perfectly deserving animals in shelters, however purchasing one makes me feel better being that I know that those puppies are guaranteed homes. Does this make sense, or am I just nuts? Please no mean comments, thank you :)

Where on earth did the old wive's tale come from that a pure bred dog will be ruined if she is mismated. Do people actually believe that if a pure bred has a mixed litter then that girl could never have a pure bred litter if bred to a male of the same breed? Geesh! Then I guess a woman is ruined if she has a child by one man and then gets pregnant by a different man later on. Why on earth would you think like this?

More than 25% of shelter dogs are purebreeds. Only 20% of puppies end up living out their life in their first home.

with all the recent questions about breeding dogs I am wondering why people do not do a little research before breeding? I Know there are the people that say "well you have to start somewhere" but in most everything you do at least some knowledge is required. Why should breeding dogs be any different?

I have a 3 year old chocolate lab that I would like to use for breeding . He is getting very frustrated and castration I think is cruel but will be a last resort to rid him of his frustration. I live in the Teesside area. Where can I find a b*tch for him to breed with? Im not in this for financial gain nor do I want another puppy, I just want my dog to be happy and not sexually frustrated.

Okay, the dog isn't TOTALLY hairless. She has hair on the head, feet and tail (hairless Chinese Crested). I say no based on input from my breeder. My husbands says yes, he would freak and set off bug bombs in my house if he ever found ONE flea.

My dog is a healthy 2 yr old lab and started vomitting last Monday. We thought he just got into something so we gave him his regular food on Tuesday and he was vomitting again so we started him on a bland diet (hamburg and rice) and he was ok. we brought him to the vet b/c he is our baby and I would rather be safe than sorry. They did tons of tests and everything was perfect so we kept him on the bland diet and he was fine all through the week so we introduced his regular food and we was ok through the weekend. All of a sudden he vomitted again yesterday so we gave him the bland diet last night and he was ok. The vet suggested we change him to a bland diet (Prescription ID) dog food so we are trying that today but just wanted to throw this out there to see if anyone has any suggestions or has been through this. He is drinking like normal and going to the bathroom normal as well.. So thanks for any advice in advance :)

My Aussie Shepard is 9 years old, small 27 lbs, and in congestive heart failure (drew off 1/2 liter of fluid from lungs last week) - but after numerous tests can't find out why. Sending more test to a pathologist (to see if the Vet missed something in her blood and fluids), but she quit eating five days ago. Tried rice and hamburger. Only thing she'll eat is table scraps from our hand. We've tried other dog foods (including the soft kind in celophane package). She is on a water pills so she is drinking a lot of water. How long can she live like this?

i have a chihuahua and he is overweight. he eats purina puppy chow because its really small and he dont like soft dog food. and he weighs around 17 pounds. he likes to go outside all the time and he runs real fast though. but not for a long time. he can fetch a ball. but he will be 2 in nov 07. i am really worried about his obesity and he was the biggest pup of the litter too.

I am not a breeder, but have several people ask me about good breeders and I would really like to give them some solid information. One of my concerns is over breeding, and I would like to know what is an appropriate schedule for breeding a female pug (and also a male pug). I realize AKC allows one littler per year, but have seen breeders register a second litter in the same year with CKC. My concerns are stress on the female pug, and how many litters and how often should they be spaced apart, and how many litters would be proper without over breeding or hurting the female pug's body. The same question holds true for the male, how often and what is the maximum amount of time one bloodline should be allowed to reproduce.
I will never be a breeder, but want to help direct new pug owners to breeders that aren't into it just for the money.
