Make sure you watch him close outside. He may be getting into something out there. Weekend when family is home he was ok?? I think he is getting into something else.

I'm assuming your dog had fecal testing, blood testing, and x-rays, and internal parasites, bacteria, and a blockage were all ruled out.
Does he eat super-fast then vomit up mostly undigested food? If so he may be eating too fast...it may help to add some water to his food.
Is his vomit yellow like it has a lot of bile in it? Maybe acid reflux.
Keep in mind that vets get a kick-back on Hills Science Diet foods, so they will always recommend them. I'm not saying they aren't good quality foods (I believe they are) nor am I saying they don't help in many cases (they do), just be aware of that.
Don't be scared to change foods, if his regular food seems to be continually causing the problem. Just do it slowly, over the course of a week, integrating a little more of the new food each day. Same thing when going from the hamburger and rice back to his dry kibble...change back slowly, adding a little more dry kibble in place of the hamburger and rice every day.
Keep bugging your vet's office if you are not satisfied with the outcome of your visit.

If he vomits every time you give him his regular food, it's fairly clear that it's the food that's the problem.
It's not uncommon for dogs to have sensitive stomachs and completely reject certain types of food. You're lucky to have already found one he's OK on, some people search for ages!
The diet suggested to you, Hills i/d, is a good one. It's high quality food, and specially designed for sensitive stomachs. Be aware that he may need to be on a bland diet for life - it does sound like it. i/d comes in wet and dry, but if you want some variety for your dog, Royal Canin do a sensitivity diet too. You can also feed simple things like chicken and rice occasionally for variety.

What's this about a kick-back on Hills food? My practice doesn't get one!

He may have become allergic to his reg food. You can try introducing a new food slooowly. Do bland and food switch over a week if needed. Kaopectate is good for vomiting as it coats the tummy. Also he might be eating biscuits, chewies or getting food from kids that do not agree with him.

Was your dog x-rayed at the vets? He may have swallowed something that caused a blockage and that's why he's vomiting.
There are many quality foods out there that are formulated for sensitive stomachs. Perhaps instead of switching immediately back to dog food, you might try weaning him off of the hamburger & rice by mixing it with his dog food and gradually get him back to dog food.
