Cats

My personality is more conducive to dogs - loyal to a fault at times, playful, well-meaning... I love every dog I meet (even though mine is the best dog ever). Their acts as service animals, rescue animals, and therapy animals never cease to amaze me. I heard a story yesterday about an Irish Setter leaping on a 3-year-old boy. When the boy's mom came over, she found the setter covered in bees. The boy had hit a bee's nest with a butterfly net and was allergic to bee stings. The dog saved his life.

That's the other reason I love dogs: they're so sweet, it's amazing what they'll do for the people they love.

I love both. I have both a cat and a dog. My dog is great she follows me around the house. And My cat loves to lie on me when i watch TV or work on my laptop (like now! only if she were at my dorm) but yeah I love em both equally.

Dogs. Although cats dont require alot of attention, they dont give alot of attention like dogs. Dogs wait for you at the front door to greet you, fater not seeing you all day. They love to play with you, and obey you! Dogs are loyal. CAts are just boring.

Depends on my situation...Dogs overall, because they are generally more intelligent and entertaining, but cats require less attention and unless you have the space and the time to give to a dog, you're better off with the independent feline.

Definitely dogs. You get unconditional love from a dog. On the other hand, my grandfather used to say that you never own a cat.

Love'em both...But my lifestyle is more condusive to being Mom to - two cats...They keep each other company when I'm not around, their antics are fun, and don't get into as much trouble as I believe two dogs would. Plus IF I'm gone over night, I can leave them with food in their dish and they won't eat every last bite. They don't bark, but they do shed. I clip their claws most gently and have no problem with furnishings (taught them YOUNG to use scratching posts - one in each main room).

Delightful antics, fun, comforting, soft...Works for me!

Dogs, I really do not like cats at all.

I prefer cats simply because they require less attention and are easier to care for. I love dogs too though.
