Pleeeeassssseeeee tell me you're joking (you just can't tell sometimes)
On the off chance you're not, I'll just say tobacco does the same thing for dogs that it does for humans - gives them lung cancer.
If you really DO have a dog with worms get the right meds from the vet.

you're probably a troll, but then I had a client the other day who gave his dying dog whiskey, so you just never know really.

I asked my Doctor a few years ago (an MD for humans) if snuff really was okay to use for worming and he said it should work fine. My father taught me this method for worming animals, including humans, a long time ago. I have never had any problem with it except for a snuffy burp afterward (was awful.) I once went to a vet however who told me it was wrong and torture to animals. He was an idiot. I personally have taken snuff to de-worm and suffered no ill effects. The most important thing to know is the dosage. The amount to worm a human is maybe 1-2 drops so for a small animal you want to put just a *very* light dusting on part of their food. Since this has been used by my family for over a hundred years successfully I'm going to believe them. Finally, don't use chewing or smoking tobacco, just snuff, preferably an old brand that is mostly if not all pure tobacco.

First I'd like to say that I wouldn't trust an answer from someone who thinks chewing tobacco could cause lung cancer. Seriously... It's CHEWING tobacco, and the dogs can't smoke. Sheesh.
Lots of people give chewing tobacco to dogs and cats alike and yes it will cure worms but only give it to them in very small dosages.
Personally, I would recommend medicine from a vet, but since the question wasn't about what kind of medicine to use, I won't get into that.

Yeah it will kill the worms if you use the right one. When I was little that is how we wormed our dogs all the time.We only used copenhagen and only in small amounts. But we never used it in puppies. If the worms are bad I definitely suggest going to the vet.I think now that I am older that that is more of a preventative than a cure.I would go to the vet if your not sure.

Nicotine in any form is toxic to most animals. The best way to tend to any worms is to take a fecal sample to your vet and have the type confirmed and then pay for the right medication to take care of the problem. Especially a puppy as they can be very sensitive to the wrong medication.

No but it will kill the dog and the worms eventually. Get the product, Interceptor, from your vet. This will also keep him/her free of heartworms and some other nasty ones as well. They are chewable and dogs love them (the taste), so it's easy to give it to them without forcing it down their throat.

Oh, jeez, don't do this... take the dog to a vet, and have it done professionally. If you can't afford to get proper care for the dog, you can't afford the dog - period. In that case, it's time to get rid of it.

Well, it might kill the DOG, but the worms would probably still survive.

NO, don't try it if your not sure. Best thing is to take it to the vet. You don't want to take the risk of making your dog even more sick.

Could, but it would probably kill your dog too. Get treatment from the vet.
