A pekingese of 3 years should only be fed once a day or let it free eat meaning leave food in the bowl see if the dog gobbles it right up or eats when it's is hungry

dogs get fed almost 3 x's a day, if this is a older pup use the bag for a general idea on how much you should feed by his body weight and his age, I have a bullmastiff 7 months old and we feed her 3 x's with 3 cups each time. For training we use her dog food as treats too. Hope this helps but, check the bag, I really think feeding once a day is wrong, feed in morning after he is done take bowl away, then late lunch do the same then dinner. If you can't do lunch like most people work do in am then pm but use 3 cups at a time

It is much healthier to feed ALL dogs at least twice a day. More frequent, small meals are better for just about everyone, animal or human, and it makes them happier too.

Make feeding her part of your routine, morning and evening. Walk her after each meal (and any other time you feel like it.) She will feel secure if she has a consistent schedule.

It's best to see when she prefers to eat. My dog doesn't eat in the morning. So there is really no point in me feeding him in the morning.

And ask your vet. All dogs are different and it depends on their food and weight. Most dogs will tell you if that's enough or not. They'll get sick if the routine isn't working for them.

I have a Boxer & a Jack Russel & I keep my both dog's food dishes full all the time. This way they can eat when ever they like. They nibble during the day when ever it suits them & they are not over weight at all. The vet says they look good!

small dogs need to be fed three times a day in smaller amounts. feed her first thing in the morning AFTER her daily morning walk. feed her midday, after you come home to let her out to do her business, then fed her in the evening after her daily evening walk.

Once a day is fine. When doesn't matter as long as you will be able to let her out to exercise 2-3 hours after.
