I have a 5 mos old Labrador, and I have been trying to find a little tub to wash him in outside. It maybe easier to wash him in the backyard with a hose. But I cant find a tub for a dog anywhere.

We have a puppy and we're trying to train him. We've been told to train him by praising him when he's good, and scruffing him on the neck when he's bad. What exactly IS scruffing? And how do you scruff a dog?

I have a one year old, white German Shepherd, and when i take him for a walk in the park, he barks at other dogs, i think that he trying to protect me, but my mom says if it continues then it will have to be sold, i dont want this to happen.

WHAT CAN I DO TO STOP IT? i dont want to use anything like an electronic shocking collar.

you have to sign a contract agreeing to them coming every month and checking your house and stuff. im just not comfortable with that. does anybody elses shelter do that ? i dont know what to do because i really want to get a dog fom them

My Shih-Tzu needs his hair clipped and I want to do it myself.
Do you know how to clip & style a shih-tzu's hair or know of a good site that will tell me how. He scratches constantly. He has been bathed, given program, frontline used and he takes an allergy pill and 3 v caps. The only thing I can think of is that he is scratching his hair out.

I have a 15 month old male (fixed) that every time we have visitors he mauls them, not being aggressive, but just jumping up on them. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body, but I can't seem to get his attention off of them. Any suggestions?

he is otherwise a very friendly dog with people and other dogs, its just if he cant get his own way, can anyone advise me what i to do about this behaviour as i have tried alsorts of ways to break him of this but nothing seems to work, he wants to be top dog and its a constant battle with him, does anyone think neutering him would help. i am desperate to cure him of this before i either have to consider getting rid of him or he seriously hurts someone as he is getting bigger and stronger by the day the day

My yorkie does not alert me when she has to go potty if she is not in her crate. She is 7 months old. She is strictly crate trained and the only time she is allowed out is when she eats and goes potty. Sometimes she will eat and run away without me noticing then poop in one of her preffered spots, like under the dining room table. Why doesnt she alert me that she has to go??? When she is in the crate she is FINE with alerting me (obviously)

Lasy Wednesday morning my dog was struck by a motor vehicle. She was hit so hard the licsense plate of the vehicle came off. The man left the scene of the accident (which is illegal in NH). My dog was found by a guy who works for the highway dept. He called me (my # is on my dogs collar) and we rushed her to the hospital. She sustained some internal injuries and many external lacerations. She spent 4 days in the vet hospital. She is expected to make a "full" recovery. But I am wondering if I should persue pressing charges just on the fact he left the scene of an accident. Any feed back will be helpful... but please no bantering. I know what my responsiblity here is and I am making strides to correcting that so it will never happen again!

I have been looking for a Maltese in San Diego, and these idiots from cameroon keep posting ads on sites saying they are from san diego. When I e-mail them they say they are in cameroon and give me this bullshit talk that they had to move to cameroon, her husband died in the military she has one leg blah blah blah, I know it's scam she is giving it for free only have to pay for the delivery charge. So I got another e-mail from one of them and i was about to write a mean e-mail but I decided to try to get their address.

So I replied and said that I was so greatful to have to pay for only 250 for two dogs and I want to send her a gift, she emails me back and asks for a cam corder and a Nokia cell phone, I am still waiting for an address to report it. How can I report this scam?

I have probably recieved 10 e-mails from these people, and this last one got on my nerves, I really want these people to get caught! Anymore tips on catching these idiots?

im goin to have a baby in september, and i want to get another dog write now. i have a small mixed breed, so i want a large dog thats good with childred and other dogs, any one got any ideas? i was thinking like a bull dog, or a dalmation, or a german shepard, but im not sure.

My family has had a chesapeake bay retreiver for six months, but just now she's become very possessive of her food dish. When my brother was putting down her dish after filling it, our dog growled, snapped and actualy bit my brother's arm. We punished her, but then the next day she growled at my mom when she set her dish down. How can we train her to not be possessive about her food dish?

I have an ACA registered female Shih Tzu & am looking for a boyfriend to begin breeding & having grandpups as a hobby & 2nd income...I have found a boyfriend for her however, he is AKC registered...Is this ok to have an ACA reg female & an AKC reg male & get full price & registration out of them?
