I enjoy walking and taking my two year old German Shepherd into stores like PetCo, but whenever he sees another dog he thinks he has to go up to it and meet it. I'm afraid the way he pulls and lunges toward the other dog may come off as looking like aggression. He has never been aggresive, just playful. Will he grow out of this?

Okay! Heres what happened. Dogs ears cleaned with Q tip with just water, every 3mo. Bath every mo, he's Austi Dingo" indoor Dog.
He has lately started having like really bad smell coming from his ear. You smell it, for two days, after you smelled in his ear, to make sure it's coming from there . So You know now thats pretty bad Right!
Okay! Any way I took a Q tip and a warm cloth, and cleaned it out ,down inside I seen something black like, So I Q tiped down there and a like leach like stuff came out .Tar looking ,plus bad oder,I though maybe it was a leach cause he swam in lake this summer , it was so so bad(smell) then like light fluid drained and it was gone.
Now its back again ,
was treated for earmites and has all shots and is Loved and Cared for lot's .What is it? Where is it coming from.
Thank You ! Hope Iam not alone

Okay, my dog constantly barks every 5 minutes and he has the loudest bark ever and the most piercing bark it is so annoying. I take im outside assuming he has to go but he dosen't so lately I've been just taking him outside every time he barks like that.

Then I thought it was him teething because he is only like 7 months. I give him a bone and he settles down but the bone meat disappears in a second and he starts barking again, it is so annoying. Since he is a puppy is he just going through something or is it because something is hurting him I don't know about? Does anybody else have this problem?

I am not asking what to do....
Took my 9 month old puppy for blood tests yesterday. The blood work was fine but in the biochemistry, the urea was a little high. The norms are 3.0 - 9.0 my pups was 9.6. The vet said she is in good health. I asked if her kidneys were okay, and he said yes, that if the urea was high and the creatinine at the same time, (and he said really high levels) then we should worry but with just the one thing, she is fine. He said that it could be high in dogs that eat alot of protein. She also steals the cats dry food at times. The night before the blood tests, puppy had lots of chicken for dinner. Could this be the reason it is high?? Also her A/G (don't know what this is)was slightly elevated. Has this ever happened to any of you pet owners..Thanks for all the help. Oh yes, she did fast from 9pm till after the test.

While many Pit Bulls do tend to be aggressive towards other DOGS (as are most terriers), the normal, well raised Pit Bull has NO human-aggressive tendencies! In fact, human-aggression was actually bred out of the breed. The majority of Pit Bulls are affectionate, intelligent, trainable dogs. In fact, the highest obedience trial record of all time is held by an American Pit Bull Terrier named Maddy!

Today i noiced him licking his foot alot and so i looked and the claw has like cracked at the base and was slightly bleeding but not too much. I put some med on him and a bandaid and it looks like it stopped bleeding after it some what soaked through bandaid. Is this serious? Should i be worrying and watching him or take him to the vet?

My 1 yr old lab-hound mix (named Banana!) is really soft and cuddly. I have another dog that weighs over 50 pounds so he can't sleep on the bed obviously. I was excited at the thought of having a dog that could rest at my feet like you see on T.V., but there's a slight problem. She sheds. Little black hairs all over my bed! I want to keep my sheets looking nice but I also want her to be up on my bed. Any ideas?

My dog is a pure bred Samoyed and is 11-12 years old. I've been noticing a decrease is energy and he is always liking himself. His paw have tured red because every time he sits down, he begins liking them. As he liking his paws, it begins to have a strong sour odor. Really strong. It stinks up the whole house! I don't know what's gotten into him!

how do you get all of those things for your dog to make your dog preppy and a cute dog, but cheap. i have a 11-12 pound papillon. I want her to have things like clothes and beds that are like miniature peoples things. I dont have that much cash and i want to get her things under a lot of money. And i also want her to have cute leashes and harnesses and collars and booties. I was thinking about build a bear, but with the money i have that is just a touch too expensive, does any one know a place like build a bear but cheaper? I want to basically turn my dog into a human walking on all fours. HELP!

I love my dog, don't get me wrong. But anytime he is alone he freaks out. And by freak out, I mean rip off molding around doors, jump 6 foot brick walls and chew on things until his teeth fall out and his mouth is bloody. Just this morning he ran upstairs, ripped through a window screen, and jumped into the bushes from the second level roof. I love my dog, and we (my family) has tried everything, but he continues to shake and cry and go crazy at the slightest triggers. Help!

BLACK POMERANIAN:
I adopted a dog from our local shelter and they estimate his age to be 8 years old. My vet (and I) seems to think that he is older than that because he has a mild cloudiness in his eyes, too. (cataracts) His muzzle and around his eyes are gray. His teeth have just been cleaned, but are the color of ivory....still yellowish. Any guesses?

There was no prior history on him as he was a stray that someone found and turned in to the shelter.
