I really think you should go to the vet and get their opinion and see a) if she is even pregnant... b) if she'll neend a c-sect... that is my highly recomended advice... it's the safest way, if your dog does need a c-set taht's the only way to know..and if she doesn't get that attention at the time she needs it she could die...

She is small and many small dogs do have to have C sections. Others get along just fine. I'd call the vet for advise on this.
There are many books at the library on whelping and raising puppies. They can also order more for you from other libraries. If a brood 'b' gets in trouble, call the 24 hour service if it's after hours for the vet's office and have a vet meet you. If you have a 24 hour emergency clinic close by then you are in luck.
Feed your female cottage cheese but do not take away from her regular meal(s) to do this. This should be given at a different time of the day. This ensures healthy bone in the pups and will help keep her from developing a calcium deficiency. Unborn and nursing pups are a real strain on the mother's body. After the pups arrive she will still need this cottage cheese treat. Don't over feed this as she could get diarrhea. The pups will benefit from small amounts of cottage cheese also when they are on solids. This will ensure that their ears will have good cartilage for standing.
Be alert for signs of pyometra (pus in the uterus) before and especially after whelping. This is extremely dangerous and vet care is dire in that situation.
Be sure pups do not become chilled as low temps in new puppies can kill. You'll want to change bedding frequently, too.
Good luck with mom and pups!

It really depends on the dogs background. If the male is known for throwing smaller puppies, then just wait and see. The best way to find out is take her to the vet two or three weeks before he due date to have an xray taken. They will give an estimation of the size of the puppies. You will be able to make a more educated decision from there. Good luck.

You should take her to a vet. However, it takes about 8 weeks from the start of a dogs heat for her nipples and uterus to go back to normal size. If they are bigger than take her to the vet. Yes, if your dog is tiny she will need a c-section forsure.

Should have thought about that before you bred them. I would talk to the vet, see what he says. Have him ready to deliver the litter for you via c-section if need be.
