my dog drank water from the toilet eith pee in it and them he licked my face. do i have germs on me now or is it ok. what do u think about this..??

ahh haha. i was at my mother in laws one night spending thenight and i couldnt sleep. she has 6 kids and the youngest at 6 and then 13 and so forth. well the 6 yr old and 13 wanted to sleep in the living room where i was on an air mattress and i was on the recliner cause i couldnt sleep and i was watching tv.
anyways, they have a black lab who drank out of the toilet and i figured what the heck, ( i can see the bathrrom from where i sat) he came over and licked the 6 year old all over his face in his, open mouth and i was just laughing thinking it was clean toilet water. well, i went up to go to the barthroom and close the door when i noticed pee still in the toilet...
he never got sick or anything and i never told him but i think its nasty but just make sure either, you, kids, husband whatever flush so it dosnt happen again. or keep the lid down/door closed. hahaha funny stuff!

Lucky for you human urine is sterile(unless the person urinating has a bladder or urinary tract infection) however, your dogs mouth is a whole 'nother story. They do contain a large amount of bacteria but unless he licked you on an open wound or on a mucous membrane such as in your mouth or your eyes. If that were to happen then you would want to cleanse the area thoughly. Otherwise just wash the dog slime off and make sure that the toliet gets flushed right after use!

First of all, you might want to give your dog some Fresh water. Also, you might want to think about taking a shower and washing your face with soap or a cleanser.

i sure hope u washed ur face, since u asked the ? 6 min. ago, yuck!!!!! don't know about germs but u probably have or had a pretty smelly face, need to learn to KEEP the lid down

Dogs do goofy things like this, my mom pet my dogs head once and the dog burped in her face! It was hillarious. Dogs are so funny.

I think your gonna be o.k. but you might want to shower and make sure your dog has plenty of water in his dish. And yes, that was a funny story, but trust me your not alone(unfortunately)!

Your pee is sterile when it comes out, so I think you're ok. Just close the lid next time because pee makes dogs barf sometimes if they drink it.

Urine is sterile. Thats why its okay to drink it or use it to rinse of cuts when there is no water available. You will be fine, but you might wanna wash your face.
