Personally I don't believe in it, but I hear so many people argue for it and am really curious. Why would it be ok to leave a dog outside all the time, or even just bring it in when it's really cold. This just bothers me. My dogs want to be by me all the time, I am the alpha and when seperated they are sad and anxious. Is this just something that people believe like they believe that they are "Just" dogs??

Ok so i really want a dog so badly but my mom won't let me. I've tried everyone's tips but they still don't work. I don't see why we can't have a dog my dad saved up so much money for me to have one so we won't have money problems and he's very experienced with dogs he's had 16 dogs before. I've been caring for this dog when it's owner has to go to a meeting and we live right next to a park!

i am going to run up and down all summer long and once school starts again, we will still be the best of friends. i was thinking about a saluki,or a miniture aussie, or a monkey terrier. i dont want a mucle bound dominator, but i down want a dog that does not like to play. i have 2 1/2 acreers of land for him, im going to get two dogs, so he should not be dog aggresive, and it is okay if he kills of chases a bird or squrrial every once and a while. a would prefer a 35 or less pound dog with a happy-go-lucky attitue. he will be like a friend i never knew. i am going to get a boy and a girl dog so they can keep each other company. he will be mostly in the yard and will stay in side on the cold, cold days, when it is to hot out side, and when it is time to eat or sleep.

not realize that europeans views on neutering dogs differ from theirs. I am so sick of hereing the neuter your pet bs on here. There is many negative things about nuetering dogs. Maybe your country should police it's breeders more, so your shelters are not over run, however, it does not give you the right to turn into Bob Barker in responce to every question. You really look silly when you ramble on about this topic. Do you really believe every owner on here sets there dog outdoors while in heat to run free? Do you not get that there is many cons to neutering, as well as, pros. How do you know another's enviroment, you have never met enough to decide what is best in this regard-when the question posted had nothing to do with neutering? Maybe you should take your sick dogs to the vet sometime rather then preaching.

A lot of times when I pet my papillon she puts her ears back. Does this mean she is scared of me? If so, what can I do to make her more comfortable around me? I spend lots of time loving her, so I don't see why this happens.

unlike AKC which has a dog look up where you enter the dogs registration number and then it will tell you all the dogs information
the CKC website doesn't have one or at least i can't find it
the breeder i bought my siberian husky from had them registered to the Continental Kennel Club
is there any way i can search for my dogs puppy registration number? like how you can on the Akc website?

I have a boxer/pit mix, and she is the best dog i have ever had. but when we took her to the vet, he said its the quiet ones that you have to worry about. no joke, my dog is afraid of everything, and i honestly dont think that i would ever have to worry about her hurting anyone.

It just seems like you are extremely bitter about your life or something. Do you need help? Just by looking at all the questions you answer it seems like you have serious psychological problems. Are you ok??? Do you need a hug? Aww, poor baby. It must make you feel really good about yourself to keep calling people morons and saying "**POS**" MUTTS. Get over it

We're planning of getting a dog in the Summer holidays. However, when term starts again in September the dog will be left alone from 7.30 to 4.30 and its not possible to get 2 dogs.

we'd really like a puppy because dogs from shelters dont have a reliable temperament.

will 8 weeks be long enough to train a puppy to be comfortable alone? if so, are there any recommened breeds?

someone would come at lunch to let the dog out.

If we give our 2 golden retrievers big bowls full of food and refill it throughout the whole day they will eat it all at once, so we only feed them a set amount in morning and night, however our neighbours dog which is a Boxer can have a big bowl full and he will eat it throughout the whole day.

So why do dogs such as labs and golden retrievers eat it all at once like little piggies, but other dogs such as boxers and littler dogs ration it throughout the whole day? =) thanks!
