not realize that europeans views on neutering dogs differ from theirs. I am so sick of hereing the neuter your pet bs on here. There is many negative things about nuetering dogs. Maybe your country should police it's breeders more, so your shelters are not over run, however, it does not give you the right to turn into Bob Barker in responce to every question. You really look silly when you ramble on about this topic. Do you really believe every owner on here sets there dog outdoors while in heat to run free? Do you not get that there is many cons to neutering, as well as, pros. How do you know another's enviroment, you have never met enough to decide what is best in this regard-when the question posted had nothing to do with neutering? Maybe you should take your sick dogs to the vet sometime rather then preaching.

Typical Americans, and you wonder why the world hates you. Your educational system is the pits, the dollar is weak, and so are your minds. I am shocked you know how to read.

And what area am I in lol? Already you presume to know what country I live in. You really are ignorant. You might want to read up on canine bone cancer among other things, and what most of the dogs are dieing from. I also, did not write I am totaly against neutering. You might want to work on your reading and comprehension.

this is not my language, and is still written better then some of the Americans themselves. Also, I am not in Germany. Where did I write Germany, yet you base an entire thought on this assumption? Again learn how to read.

It is apparent that your problem is not with the issue of pet neutering. Rather than berate "Americans" on their pets why don't you crawl back up into your hole and worry about your own country. Problem solved!

Americans neuter or spay their animals so that the pet population won't be over populated and to keep them from spraying, etc., when they are inside pets.
If the Europeans would neuter or spay their animals, then they probably wouldn't have to pay for each animal that has been hit by cars, etc. Yea, I know how that is, I lived in Germany for 2 1/2 years and if you hit an animal with your car, you have to pay for that animal.
And saying that Americans are stupid, and that you are surprised that we even know how to read, that just shows ignorance on your part because I have noticed a lot of mistakes in your typing. (i.e. hereing = hearing; nuetering = neutering; responce = response; enviroment = environment)
Maybe you should be neutered.
And if you had some common sense, you would know that Germany is in Europe. And if you had "read" my statement, then you would see that I did NOT say anything about you living in Germany. It is evidently clear that you are the one here that does not know how to read.

Americans preach about spaying/neutering because there is huge problem with over population here in America. Anyone can just breed their pet for their own personal gain and as a result, animal shelters are overflowing with unwanted pets which are euthanized every day. If someone preaches to a Eupopean about spaying and neutering they may not realize it is a foreigner they are preaching to and may not understand their views on the subject. It is just an attempt to try and prevent more and more unwanted pets from being born and being killed in shelters daily.

Clearly not everyone in the United States spays or neuters their dogs since there are thousands of homeless pets at the shelters as a result from unwanted litters.
That being said, in my opinion, and I am certain many others agree that spaying and neutering is a very sensible thing to do for your pet. We do not need any more innocent, lovable dogs being euthanized because of irresponsible pet owners.

Not everyone in America gets their dog neutered but sometimes it's better to get it neutered if it means that the dog doesn't start humping your leg every 15 seconds or have it pee everywhere in the house for marking their territory. And besides Bob Barker just says 10 words about it at the end of the show and you don't hear it again until the next one.

Get over thy self Mr Rude. What do you care if my dog has been neutered or not. How dare you criticize the entire country on such a benign topic. If you choose, not to spay and neuter your pet that is a decision, you make without anyone caring, I have the same right. Are at least here in America we have rights, I have no idea what barbaric country you are from. But something attracted you to our country. STOP the criticizing and enjoy.

Clearly you are upset. But, I'm not sure why and how it pertains to neutering your pet. List some of the facts (pros and cons) you talk about, and then we can have a conversation. I do not know who this question is aimed at, but maybe yahoo answers isn't the forum to "air" your grievance on.
By the way, I have neutered both of my male dogs, and my male cat. I would do it again, if it meant that they were healthy, and not producing unwanted animals. All of my female cats are spayed as well.

How racist do you have to be? I was totally going to agree with you on that America is theshits! And can you believe, I'M AN AMERICAN GIRL! We HAVE lost sight on what was a good country, now it's over run with Liberals and Republicans, that's what went wrong in this country is all the people here rely on a upper class corprate leader whom just wants to make money, and doesn't think about the people. Old America is what really made this country, you had men who lead this country that were poor men, and believed in the Right to be created equal, but are we equal anymore? Hell NO!
And about the whole nuetering and spaying thing, it should be done, especially here in America because a lot of people here don't know how to keep their animals inside when in heat. And this goes for the American population Especially with all the f*cking illegal immagrants who come into this country and just pop out baby after baby and live off our system that was designed for Americans to use, then all the Liberals are protecting them like they have some right to come over here in box cars, trucks, etc.
I am personally am going to move the hell out of here to Ireland, then I won't have to deal with the stupid ignorant people here. At least in Europe they have something going for themselves.
But seriously how many American friends do you have to base your opinion like this? Probably none because you are so full of yourself and to proud to except that there are different people all around you.

Europeans let their cats outside to be hit and killed all the time. They do not believe that cats should be kept indoors and it is a proven fact that being let outside dramatically shortens the life span of the cat.
If neutering prevents your pet from getting cancer I think it is a wise thing to have done to lenghten the healthy life of your pet.
If you feel that it does not help don't have it done.
However since you in Europe also have full shelters and rescues that have many unwanted dogs and cats to place maybe you should spayor neuter your pets.

Do you work in the vet field? Do you participate in actual long term studies concerning spay/neuter?
I'm going on a limb to guess that you don't..The so called studies on bone cancer in spay/neutered dogs is extremely flawed and far from being accurate..It was done on very few test dogs and on breeds that are known for their high rate of bone cancer.
There are very few to none cons to neutering/spaying other then the fact the dog can no longer reproduce.
Yes each country has their own views as do people within a country, however for those people that have worked in the vet field in any capacity for any length of time and who have actually payed very close attention to studies and their validity and length of study they know what is involved and what is true and what is not.
As someone involved in this field for over 30 years I get tired of seeing the testicular cancer, prostrate cancer, mammary cancer, pyometria, etc in intact dogs...issues that are very preventable. In all of the years I've been in the field I've seen very little bone cancer or acl or other so called issues connected to spay/neuter in altered dogs. It is every bit as prevelant in intact dogs as it is in altered.

You were critical of America, but you didn't point out why people turn to America for help and money. Oh yeah, I don't believe in having my dog neutered. He was born with a set so he should die with a set. Set means testicles. I noticed in some of your responses you were critical of the typing.
I must point out you misspelled hearing in your second sentence. I must also point out you read on the Yahoo! answers and questions you don't hear. If you are going to be critical of grammar make sure yours is correct and you can "hear" what you read.
