All my dogs are on Purina but only one is on wet dog food and dry. We have been giving her Mighty dog wet dog food and dry Purina dog food. Need to know so I can be sure to get her off of it and then have her vet checked.

Purina foods are all ok. Menu foods has produced the Mighty Dog Pouches and did not recall them. As a precaution - Purina is taking a voluntary recall of those pouches. There is no harm for the dry dog food or for any Purina products for that matter. If you go to www.purina.com - you can see the voluntary recall. You can also find a 1-800 number where you call for refunds of the Might Dog Product. Hope that helps you.

If you feed Mighty Dog in cans, there is no problem.

If you feed Mighty Dog in pouches, check the Mighty Dog website for information about which pouches you should dispose of.

Purina is not covered by the recall, but they are withdrawing the pouches to be safe.

Here is the story about it.

WASHINGTON - A major manufacturer of dog and cat food sold under Wal-Mart, Safeway, Kroger and other store brands recalled 60 million containers of wet pet food Friday after reports of kidney failure and deaths.

Your dog's food isn't on the recall list, but I would switch them anyway-your choices are very low quality foods.
