My little guy loves the snow. It is so amazing how many things we love that we share. Anyway, he loves the snow and must be picked up at times just to get him inside. Well, the snow is shallow in places but over his back in other places. He loves to go into the deep snow. Now, will his dingy fall off if he gets it too cold? If he goes do-do in the snow in a spot that i cannot get to, will another animal eat it for valentines day? Should I make snow ice cream out of yellow snow and give it to the dog abuser here? Hay, I could also put some of those chocolate tootsie rolls in it that my dog makes. Good idea, thanks. Is you pet having problems?

I am getting a American Bulldog this weekend, and I was wondering if they are big barkers. Any other personality traits would be great!

No typical Dal names (Spot, Dot, Dotty, Dal, Dally etc.). No typical dog names (Sadie, Jesse, Sasha, Belle, Sam, Lady, etc.).

Feel free to make any suggestions !

My dog broke her leg about a week ago, and we took her to the vet and stuff. She ended up having surgery and getting a plate-like thing with 4 screw to hold it to help the bone heal. The part im wondering about is that....is it normal for her to be lazy? She sleeps ALOT now. Most of the day. She doesnt realy want to play or anything. Is this normal for a dog after surgery? (She has a cast on and its gona stay on for about 2 months) Plz help. Thnx, i appreciate it.

First, I WILL be taking her to vet, but can't until the first of the month, just thought I might get some ideas from experienced people in the meantime.

Second, she is 16 years old, and in rapidly failing health over the past few months. Six months ago she still acted like a puppy. Has a heart condition, as well as being almost blind, deaf in one ear, hard of hearing in the other, and has several molars, but otherwise no teeth.

About two weeks ago I noticed a fatty tumor like growth on her underside on top of the rib cage. Since then, not only has it grown some, but she has developed similar growths on each side, about 3 inches long and an inch wide, noticeable and growing. I am thinking it must be a cancer ... any other suggestions?

Thanks so much.

I have a five year old Minature Pinscher and he seems a bit manic. He pee's on everything, barks at anything, and randomly attacks me and other people for no reason and refuses to walk on a leash. His energy level is a bit out of control.

Is there any advice that can be given to me about how to train him to discontinue these bad behaviors?

He has a bladder problem so I know there isn't much I can do about him peeing on things other than making sure he goes out when He needs to.

Thank you!

Nuetering is out of the question, I cannot legally do that because of a binding contract I signed when I purchased my puppy.

I would like any training techniques or any other advice you could offer.

What else can I do? Any words that you found particularly comforting when you lost a pet? Or any websites that helped you during the grief? I've been there myself so I understand how hard it is for her but I wish there was more that I could do....

I have the most stubborn Golden Retriever. She, Zoe, Turns 1 years old tomorrow on Valentine's day. ;) I've tried clicker training, obedience school...even the dog whistle had no effect on her when I thought the whistle was very powerful to a dog's ear. So, other than those I've mentioned, what is the best training device to use now? Those shock collars? Invisibal fence? WHAT!?? lol. I mean, she is the kind of dog that KNOWS what is wrong but does it anyways behind our back and then hides! LMAO. Thanks.

He is 7 years old. She said it is VERY common in small dogs (he weighs about 13-15 pounds) and that right now it was nothing to worry about. As he ages it will get worse. Any advice?
