a pit bull was the first dog to be given medals will serving in the ww1 :) and also the dog in the movie little rascals was a pit bull, hes like a hero now to pit owners and lovers because of his acheivement :)

good question..i am a pit bull breeder and love my dogs..i trust them to guard the house and protect me and my son at night....they r very emotional animals and i feel they r profiled to be a bad breed because a lot of ppl do not know how to properly train their temperment,back to the question at hand...yes,they can be heroes just as well as a lab,dalmation,german shepard or any oyher animal that has done something heroic...thanx
