I adopted Penny from the shelter and I have no idea what she is , I think that she may be a Jack Russell mix. Here are a couple of pics.. http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s85/sniffles0304/IM000262.jpg

This is a 1/2 chihauau/american eskimo he has a sister that is completly ok. It is almost certian he ate something he shouldn't. We live on a farm he eats well with some store bought dog food. This is the second day and he is still vomitting minutes after he drinks water. He won't even look at milk or any kind of food. I am worried he is going to get dehidrated. He is lethaargic and his nose is dry.

Just about a week ago, someone asked what some of the rarest breeds were, and I answered (as far as AKC numbers) that Dandie Dinmont Terriers are always in the bottom 25 registrations...after seeing all the hype about Bill Cosby's dog, all I can think is 'Uh-oh...here come the puppy mills & backyard breeders trolling for dollars." Do you think the small, dedicated group of breeders will manage to protect this breed? Or will unscrupulous people be convincing enough as potential 'good owners' to buy their pups on AKC limited registrations & then quickly CKC/APRI (etc) re-register them and breed away?

I picked him up from his mother b/c she was producing bad milk and the owners weren't caring for him very well feeding him watered down food from a bottle, he was flea infested and they smoked in the house which was quite dirty, I am not a breeder just a good person who would like some good information. Any suggestions would be helpful. Right now he weighs 4 lbs.

We just got a pup. He is AKC registerable and we want to get him registered, but we noticed that the color code on the papers from the breeder is wrong. Thye have him coded as chocolate, but he is yellow. Is this an issue for us to just change it before filing the papers??

Also, is there some requirement on the names that you have to use to register them? My wife thought there was something with using part of the parents names??
