She is a 1 year old flat coated retriever. usueally full of life.

Yes, I believe they can pick up on it. They have senses we don't even know about... they sure do know when you are mad or upset with them...so they probably can sense something just isn't right...

Dogs know when something is wrong. I have 2 dogs a cocker spaniel and a lab my cocker spaniel hurt her leg and has been diagnosed with cushings I came home from the vet crying and my lab jumped up put his paws on my shoulders and licked the tears off my face. I truly believe that dogs can sense when your sick or just not feeling good.

Yes, Read Ceasar Millan book "ceasar's way" talks about this, dogs definitely know when we are sad, why? Because our energy speaks louder then words, they since your energy level and if your sad or blue your dog knows. Be careful not to loose as the pack leader, because dogs will since this energy as unstable and try to take over as your leader. Can cause behavior problems, but I know dogs are so comforting when we are blue, just I hope you don't stay blue for too long! Chin up, life is life, live it the best you can for the both of you.

Dogs are very susceptible to mood of master, why do you think they have hospital dogs? If you are moody and have major mood swings get close to your dog and hug and hold for 15 mins and watch not only yourself watch the dogs mood

of course dogs can sence stuff like that. Have you ever heard the saying: a dog knows if your scard? its the same thing here, exept ur felling sad and blue.if she starts acting sad, she may be felling sad because ur sad.

my dogs ducky and turbo are my little kids I talk to them as if they were people it is so awsome to see how they respond to diffrent tones in your voice and the other night I was sick and both my dogs never left my side they wanted to be sure I was okay and while I was feeling sick I layed there petting my ducky and it made me feel better Im sure he knows just how much I love him dogs are so special even my husbands moms dog he is a lab he found a lump in her breast he keept nipping her there and she went and had it cheaked and sure enough there it was but yes dogs know everything people just dont give them enough credit

Yes, she most certainly can. They can sense when you are happy, sad, mad or glad. It's petty amazing on how they can pick up on our moods. Hope this helps.
