We already been to the vet in the past and she was operated on (lanced) and given antibiotics. But now it's back and we really can't afford another operation. Will cleaning it out with a peroxide solution hurt the dog? We're desperate!

ok..well my friend's mother owns a pet shop and they had this tiny maltese puppy come in who was on the verge of dying. After caring for him for 4 months in their home, Pookie is ready to be sold. At first, this older woman was going to buy him but now shes not because shes moving or something. My friend said that maybe i would be interested because i got along with the dog so well. I would prob get him for $400 or a lil cheaper. (Thats good pricing for a maltese!)

This may sound dumb but im worried about my cat that ive had since '96. Shes really old and im very attached and i feel like she'll resent me. I know everyone just says "its only a cat, who cares" but its hard when you've never had a dog and all you have had was a cat. Just gimme some info please!!

I have heard 3 weeks to 4 weeks. Do puppies start nursing less frequent when they hit 3 weeks old? I'm not planning on taking them from their mother until at least 8 weeks old.

i don't feed my dog any type of human food, but my vet mentioned that its ok to feed him carrots as a snack or treat. ive gave him uncooked carrot and he just chewed it up and left it there.. but i boiled some and added a tad bit of salt and he loved it, bad idea?

I need more information on Akitas, and I have read everything I possibly could, on internet, and have to get an opinion from my pplz.:) So, I'm thinking about getting an easy to train guard dog, and i know pplz say german shepherd, but, im only asking u about akitas. So, ppl tell me that akitas r the wrong way to go. That they aren't guarding, can't attack at all, are hard to train, and so I need an opinion or help. Plz emial me at hot_tinkerbell21223@yahoo.com for any thing else. but plz post it here. Thanx.

She is shaking, afraid to let me pick her up, and can't stand up. She hasn't eaten in 12 hours. I have a male who also got neutered. He's alittle tired because of the anistesia (sorry, spelling) but he's fine. I'm just worried about her. Is this normal?

My 6 year old Japanese Chin Rufus has always been a happy, goofy dog. But this past year he has been through 2 significant changes:
my aunt's 12 year old lab mix died (Rufus loved and idolized him...we live with my aunt), and I adopted a chihuaua from a rescue group. Rufus has never had to share me and his bed with another dog before. The new dog is also very clingy, so he's always wanting to be held, and I know Rufus gets jealous when he sees that. I do my best to not neglect giving any attention and love to Rufus, but he's still so depressed now. All he does is mope. My aunt says it could also be because he's getting old, but 6 is not that old for a small dog. Anyway, my question is, is it possible to bring my dog out of this funk he's in?

Does anyone know a dog rescue, or an individual who can help save these dogs?

I was looking on petfinder and I came across an adorable American Bulldog shepherd mix from the Columbiana County dog pound. If the petfinder listings are accurate, he, along with 10 other dogs (7 of which are puppies), are scheduled to be euthanized in a gas chamber tomorrow at 7:00 a.m. It broke my heart to see. As I am too far away to directly help I am spreading the word as best I can around the internet in hopes that someone who can help will see this.

If you know of a rescue in the area please pass this on to them, or if you can take one of the dogs yourself call the pound at 330-424-6663. Thank you.

I saw a particular kind of chiquaqua that I am interested in but I did not get the exact name. It was short-haired and beige and may have been considered a teacup (if that is how they are classfied). A child tried to tell me the name and it sounded like he was saying "apple" but I could not understand the rest. I've looked for info on the net but I can't find anything.
