I saw a particular kind of chiquaqua that I am interested in but I did not get the exact name. It was short-haired and beige and may have been considered a teacup (if that is how they are classfied). A child tried to tell me the name and it sounded like he was saying "apple" but I could not understand the rest. I've looked for info on the net but I can't find anything.

Baa_Baa you are correct. I believe the child was saying Apple head. THANK YOU.
PS I copied and pasted the spelling from a web site so I presumed my spelling was correct.
Thanks to all who answered.

My Chi is a mix -- we call her a pony because she prances but her head is not particularly shaped like a normal Chi because her ears are not too large for her head. I don't know what 'qualifies' as applehead, but a quick search on Google can help.
Here's a pic of what Google refers to as an applehead- http://www.puppysites.com/deluxe/sphynxandchis.jpg

Chi's are awesome little Dobermans in a compact body. I wouldn't trade mine for the world.

well you probably can't find anything on the net because it's spelled chihuahua. no q's. there is only one "type" of chihuahua and they are all toy breed. there are different variations. maybe the child was saying dapple. that's a coloring, but not a normal one on a chihuahua. probably a mixed dog someone wants too much money for. chihuahua's come in long hair and short hair. you can go to the akc webpage and look under chihuahua's and they will list all acceptable variations of this breed. if it's not on there and seems "rare" there's a reason for it. usually "rare" coloring in a dog is a fault because of many health issues associated with it. and remember chihuahua.

The term rainwater harvesting is being frequently used these days, however, the concept of water harvesting is not new for India. Water harvesting techniques had been evolved and developed centuries ago. Ground water resource gets naturally recharged through percolation. But due to indiscriminate development and rapid urbainzation, exposed surface for soil has been reduced drastically with resultant reduction in percolation of rainwater, thereby depleting ground water resource. Rainwater harvesting is the process of augmenting the natural filtration of rainwater in to the underground formation by some artificial methods. "Conscious collection and storage of rainwater to cater to demands of water, for drinking, domestic purpose & irrigation is termed as Rainwater Harvesting."

did you mean chihuahua?
There are two types.....Deerhead (improper breeding) and applehead....(proper breeding) Teacups are more likely to have medical problems and are normally just runts. If you insist on buying a "teacup" make sure the parents were both regular sized chihuahuas.
There is also one called the giant chihuahua. They are usually just 7lbs....so not that much bigger.

Are you talking about a Chihuahua? Chis only come in one size. There is no such thing as a teacup. Backyard breeders have created the deer headed chi. The chi standard calls for an apple dome shaped head. Please do some research.

I certainly have never heard of a chiquaqua. How would you pronounce that? I raise chihuahuas, but no q's in that.
