ok, I know you most likely have not, but the person I got my dog from told me it was a German Koolie cross.

I recently posted asking for your guys opinion on what breed he was and the answers were greatly appreciated :). Here's a clearer picture of him then the one I had before, because he look almost totally black in the other one

This is just a follow up to a question i asked earlier about breeding my dog, who i love dearly, and would never want to hurt, exploit or upset in anyway. Why did so many people just get angry at me? I just wanted to ask an innocent question and people really went off on me.

The majority of answers were really aggressive and made me feel like i was being seen as an animal abuser!!! I love my dog, she is the best friend i have ever had, she is sitting here on the bed with me sleeping and perfectly happy. I am really upset by people's reactions.

I asked a question regarding puppy mills vs. breeders, which is worst. People didn't the way it was written. So here's better phrased one. Why are dogs priced 10 times or more than cats?

Sounds kind of wierd from a guy that has a cat but I think unlike a lot of people, I'm a realist and I don't live in a fantasy world where everything goes the way I like.

1) Puppy Mills, even the deplorable conditions that we are always shown aren't any different than the way we treat poultry, pigs and a lot of other animals. Do you really think they get vet. care when they get sick? If you're going to talk about treating animals better, start with the animals we eat. They get treated far worst than most dogs or cats.

2) Blame the breeders. Why are puppies so expensives? They don't need to be. A dog has several puppies just like a cat. You can make more than enough dogs to satisfy any demand of any type. Breeders keep supply low to keep prices high. And if they say they don't make money from selling their dogs, then they're not very good business people. You want to know why you can't have the dog you want, they are the reason.

My little Jammie would love to become a father, well at least I think he would. I do not know where to find him a suitable mate, both his parents were winners of dog shows, but I do not want to put him throught so much stress of getting ready for a show. He is just perfect the way he is and does not neet to show off! Most of the female I meet are all spayed, he seems to be the only one around. Can anyone help us, he is truly beautiful

Yesterday my maltese terrier randomly started not walking on one of her back legs. It dosent hurt or anything and she seems completly normal except for her leg and she still walks and runs but lays or sit's down once she has gotten to where she wanted to go. we think it may have happened while she was jumping of a bed. what do you think could be wrong with her ? ( we're taking here to the vet later this arfternoon).

I have a white gsd(Sally) and a mutt(Spike). When i take either dog out on their own its lovely, they walk along side me, show no agression to other dogs and its a pleasure to wlk them.
But if i take them out together they pull incessantly, growl at other dogs and i end up having to apologise for them and usually cut the walk short.

Any suggestions on how to change this behaviour is uch appreciated!!!!

I have a 5 yr. old American Staffordshire Bull Terrior, he is very well trained and he is very beautiful. He is Blue and has white markings. He has been tested for hip dysplacia and the results were negative and he is not a mutt or mix of any kind. He has a very sweet personality and I am interested in making him a stud dog. What is the most effective way of advertisement at a low cost? Thanks, Jessica

The Bichon Frise is a small white dog. They have a very soft, curly coat of hair, and are from France. Here's some of the ideas that I came up with:
Bubbles
Alaska
Dakota
Destiny.
Sesi-it's Alaskan
Keleki- it's Hawaiian
and from France: Serea- means magic
Neige-means snow
Bisou-means Kiss

Why are most people fascinated at watching their dog do their job?
Do the dogs watch their master do their job? What is the dog thinking when they see their master watching? Most dogs (esp. poodles) act more like a vacuum cleaner sniffing the ground and grass as they walk and are fascinated by another dog's urine and lawn sausage. I was thinking about getting a beagle, don't know how they will act. I'd name my dog, CAT!

In 3 days i am getting a female Border Collie/ German Shepard Puppie. She is 11 weeks and verry cute and looks like a pure bred Border Collie. I don't really like names that are like Rover or Daisy. I like People names like Bailey and Hadley. I was thinking of naming her Hadley but I'm not sure. I had a dog named Bailey already. I would like to name her a person name, like something you would name your kid if she was a border collie. TY

I have a beautiful little 6 wk. old female lab. Unfortunately, she came to me with a few bad habits. She came from a home where the children ran and she was allowed to chase pant legs and feet. Needless to say she is doing it to me as well. I've tried stopping dead in my tracks and bending down to close her mouth while sternly saying "no bite," but it only works for a few seconds then she starts with it again. I've been following with a flat hand motion in front of her face (ie, stop) and she jumps back and barks at me. I've also, when one is handy, tried substituting a chew toy for my robe tail or toes. She sleeps good at night and the potty training is coming along...even tho she was pad trained and now thinks my throw rugs are potty places. But her little teeth are sharp on toes and ankles. Any suggestions?
