A good doggie daycare is best if your dog would like it and you can afford it. You'd get a happy, tired dog with good manners.
I've had some dogs destroy houses. Really. They also broke out of crates and could have been hurt. I'd try the crate training next with a neighbor or pet sitter to walk them during the day. They'd have a lot of energy to burn off, but aren't destroying anything and aren't learning bad manners.
If the crate is out of the question because of separation anxiety etc.....I use an outdoor chain link kennel that I bought in panels from Lowes/Home Depot. It's set on concrete to stop digging. It's 6 feet to keep from jumping over, and a roof to keep the dog from climbing out. A bored kennel dog will need a lot of exercise, could learn bad habits, and maybe drive your neighbors crazy with barking.
Good Luck!

Definately crate train them, however, consider that with the proper shelter, food, water, and moving room, dogs actually like it better outside. What we do with ours is chain them while we are not home, so that there are no messes in the house, and if we know its going to rain that day, we have a room with NOTHING in it except water (don't put food, dogs fight over food, you can feed them when you get home or before you leave them) set aside just for the dogs. It has no carpet so clean up is easy, but we do put doggie toys in there for them. When we get home, the babies are allowed to be with us until the next morning when it's time to either go out on a chain or go to their room. We also crate trained them, mainly to make sure that they have a good doggie education and so we won't have to worry if the occasion should arrise when they would need to be crated.

Depends upon the size of the dogs. The principle is the same either way. For big dogs, build a dog run to put them in while you are gone. Since they are outside, make sure they have plenty of water. Medium and small dogs just need a suitable sized cage to put them in (in the house) while you are gone. The dogs get used to it and will feel secure in the cage. Just give them plenty of attention when you are home. It is not necessary to put food or water in the cage (and a lot less mess) so long as it cool in the summer and heated in the winter. A cage or crate in the basement is the best place if you have one. I am dating a woman who has two min pins and they do great with this method. They gladly run into the cage for a treat of a few cheerios. She lets them outside as soon as she gets home and then feeds and gives them plenty of water. She also feeds them in the morning while she is getting ready for work.

you can crate the dog but that is a very long time and not good-can you get a school kid to come over and walk the dog and play with him? he or she would probably need the money
Put an ad in yr local newspaper for a part time dog siter but PLEASE dont cdrate or chain the dog all day while you are at work - it is not fair to the dog

You should have a decent fence put up in your backyard, otherwise just have a section of ur yard properly fenced off. If they are small dogs then u can buy some fencing and make a small area for them (dont 4get they need shelter!) If they must be kept indoors then have a gate put up in your house in a passage somewhere to section off a certain part of the house.

My dog sleeps in his crate during the day. He doesn't resist going in there in the mornings and doesn't bark or whimper in there so I don't think he minds overmuch. If we tie him up however he will bark and cry something awful. He's got enough room to stretch out in there and usually is snoring within a few minutes of being in there, and when we come back he's not scratching at the door or acting anxious to get out. He comes out, stretches, says hello and is taken for a walk.

I am not able to work but when I go out I leave my 5 month old puppy in an X-Pen with her bed, some toys and water. She is very happy there.

Crate Train them. My two bassets know when I'm leaving and go right to the crate with no problems.
