In the city the only dead thing that we have come across is dead birds.
Hiking in the canyons, that is another story. I should have known by the way my dogs were behaving they were on the trail of something, but I was to interested in the scenary. By the time I noticed the were on a trail, I looked up and discovered we were with in 200 feet of a bob cat. We BACKED out real s l o w. Made it out safe. Thank goodness I NEVER let my dogs hike off leash.

One of my friends was walking her Lab one day around a local mental institution (there is a big park surrounding it) and she found the body of a man that was bipolar that had escaped from the institution and then then hung himself from a tree. Gross, but true.

The worse thing that my dogs have ever found was the entire leg of a deer.

I was walking my dog to 711, and she found a dead cat body. She started chewing something and I went to see what it was, and it was a cat drumstick, fur and all. Grossest thing ever. Scarred for life.

One of my dogs started barking in the garage, directing his barking toward a cupboard. I looked in it and behind it and finally found an oil painting portrait of the previous house owner, which I took to her.
Another dog started barking at the bushes until I looked in, and found a very thin cat looking terrified. I took her home and my lifelong allergy to cats had disappeared, so I kept her and still have her.
