Why are most people fascinated at watching their dog do their job?
Do the dogs watch their master do their job? What is the dog thinking when they see their master watching? Most dogs (esp. poodles) act more like a vacuum cleaner sniffing the ground and grass as they walk and are fascinated by another dog's urine and lawn sausage. I was thinking about getting a beagle, don't know how they will act. I'd name my dog, CAT!

How else are you supposed to know if he's done doing his business?

Why do they stare when you pass an accident? Why do they stare when they see animals doing it? Why do they stare someone is eating? Because people are nosy, and it's.........best way I know how to put it, is it's like an accident. Some just stare, they can't help it.

That, and some owners like to know what it looks like in case their dog is ill, or acting funny. They want to know if the "sausage" looks normal, in case they have to take their dog to the vet, or change something in the diet.

I've never noticed that the poodle smell more. lol I really haven't. Then again, I'm the type that turns away because I know my animals are healthy, and I don't need to see what they had for lunch lol!!! If they act like they have worms, I glance after they're done, but I don't sit there and grab my mini lab, and inspect it.

I doubt a beagle would be worried about it. They would smell to mark their territory, but that's about it. The Beagle would be more worried about the smell of a squirrel, or racoon running around.

I know someone who named thei dog Cat. They had a little baby, and it was in love with cats, so it would call the dog cat. "Cat, come here cat", it was adorable. And people were expecting this little pom or something to come around the corner. But instead they got an eyeful of mastiff, and I think a lab. They freaked! lol But it was a big baby! I think that would be a cute name for it! I like strange names like that. I don't like names like Fifi, Spike, or Rover. Your typical cartoon dog names. The more out there the name, the more the dogs personality stands out!

There are a few reasons for this. First of all, you need to know where it is to pick-up. Depending on the size of the dog this can actualy be challenging. Secondly the consistancy of a dog's stool tells you something about the animal's health. They cannot tap you on the shoulder and say "hey, my stomache's a little off and i'm having diarrhea"; thus you as a dog owner have to be aware of it.

Same, I watch her so that I know when she's done so I can pick it up. And yeah, my dog tries to walk in on me when I'm doing my job sometimes, and then stands outside whining until I come out. My English teacher had a dog named Happy Cat.

I watch mine so I can pick it up if I need to , to make sure the stool is formed, there is no diarrhea or maybe sign of worms or particles of foreign objects in there.
And I named my dog "Kitty" you should have seen the look on ppls faces when a 60 lb pitbull came running !!

Because its poo can tell you if it is sick or has been eating your undies again. My dog watches me go sometimes. Maybe because he is thirsty. He would rather drink it from the toilet than a bowl, it is colder. Beagles are cute, and pretty smart, they are also very affectionate, and if you treat them right, you'll have a best friend forever.

I do it because I want to make sure I know where it is so I can pick it up. Also, if my dog's been acting sick, as gross as it is, looking at her poop gives me an idea of if its "normal" or not.

I watch my dog so that I know where to pick it up, and so that I know when she's done.
