Why would you crop your dogs ears?????? Its a very painful procedure, i think that you shouldn't even consider it!!!!!

The best time to crop ears on a dog is 10 to 12 weeks. Not all Vets crop ears. I would advise you to ask your vet and if he/she doesn't crop ears, ask for a referral for a vet that does. I would be more concerned for you dogs health and the surgeon rather than the cost. Most vets will not "cut" off pit bull ears, because that is usually done to fight the dog. The cost is anywhere from $200.00 to $500.00. After the surgery, you're dog will come home with bandages on his ears, maybe the next day. It would be good if you inquired about pain meds before you agree on the surgery, this is a VERY painful surgery for the dog. You will need to bring your dog back to the vet's to have his/her ears re wrapped as many times as it takes until the ears "stand". FYI, In England it is illegal to crop ears or tails on any dogs. I think some research by you should be done before you worry about price.

normally 200.00 to 500.00 and the dog is normally asleep when the procedure is done but it really depends on the breed and age of the dog there are alot of nerves and blood vessels in the dogs ears the age of this dog should be a deciding factor your best bet is to call around to several vets offices to check for prices and to see what their age limit is and what all the risks are but i do agree in some cases dogs die from blood loss too much anisteisa or sometimes not enough i have a close friend who recently lost his dog on the operating table during an ear cropping so please be sure of your decision

some of you guys need to relax. its compete over-kill to say that if someone wants their dog's ears cropped they shouldn't own dogs. the procedure is controversial but completely acceptable to many dog people, especially the quality breeders of breeds that are traditionally cropped. my biggest concern about cropping is have it done badly, then your dog has ugly ears for the rest of it's life.

contact your dogs breeder and ask them which vet does their ear cropping. if that doesn't work find a responsible breeder in your area (go a dog show if you have to) and use whoever they use. you don't want an inexperienced vet to give your pup a bad crop.

Dog ear cropping can vary, usually from around $250.00- $400.00 for a reputable vet and excellent job.

Please don't do it unless for a medical reason! It's painful and has no value other than looking how you want them too. Most countries in Europe I believe don't even do the ear or tail cropping anymore because of it's "abusiveness"

Costs can vary greatly according to where you live. Check around the different vets and get quotes. Personally I would not have it done, but they are your dogs, your choice.

$350-700 depending on the breed of the dog and the type of crop that you want (also can depend on where you live and how much experience you vet has).

Too much, and sometimes your dog's life if it is not done correctly. If the vet does not do it correctly, the ears can end up not standing up correctly, and some dogs can even develop infections during the healing time. Too much risk for such a dumb, out-dated procedure.

Please, before you have your dogs ears cropped ... have yours done first. If you still think it's humane ... then have his done. My guess is ... your dog won't be getting his ears cropped.

BTW: In response to your question ... I wouldn't tell you, even if I knew.
