Female dogs are naturally hostile to one another. They will try to show dominance. Do NOT use a stun gun to break them up. If they are really intent on hurting each other, there is a product sold at Petsmart that is a Citranella spray and is completely harmless to you and your dogs. The scent however should distract them enough to break up the fight. You could also try a simple squirt bottle or making a loud noise. Ex: bang a spoon on a metal pot. If this doesn't work and they are injuring each other, you should consider giving one of the dogs to an owner that has no other pets.

Okay, females fight a lot. Pitbulls fight a lot. Female pitbulls? OUtta the question! A stun gun? That's just cruel! Use a shock collar! You can buy them online or any pet store near you. But no stun gun! Come on, what are you thinking?

You are an example of what gives Pit Bulls a bad name. If they fight they haven't been socialized properly from the beginning. Pit Bulls have a very high tolerance to pain. Punishing them with violent means including anything like a stun gun, hitting, punching, kicking, that's abuse.
Please find them good homes.
Now, if you were speaking tongue in cheek because you are frustrated with your dogs not getting along and getting into fights, and you have the resources, get an animal behaviorist that is credentialed to work with your dogs and with you because this could get serious. If you can't do that, buy a video from Cesar Milan on the subject.
If you don't have the resources, get a home for one of the dogs or both of the dogs.

okay. first off, they are not fighting just because they are pit bulls. same sex dogs fight the most often, and 2 girls will fight even harder than 2 boys. it is definitely a dominance arguement, but because the girls are pits they are probably both pretty dominant. if one doesn't give in soon it will escalate until you come home to bloody walls and a dog carcass. you need to talk to an experienced trainer/behaviorist, get them spayed to reduce hormones, and figure out who is the most dominant dog and reinforce it. the longer you wait the more likely your dogs are going to get seriously injured.

on the stun gun thing...think about it for a minute. you will be causing the dogs pain during a fight. During A Fight. they will assume it is the other dog causing the pain and fight even harder. the only way to break up a serious fight is to physically seperate the dogs. shock collars work to stop barking and other negative behaviors, but it will not work to stop fights.

when my little dog and I are walking and the bigger running loose dogs come after her what good is calling animal control going to do? I'm holding a dog, using the phone and trying to keep away from the stray dog, I've carried a whistle and that doesn't bother these dogs at all! I just ordered the stun gun baton I'm tired of not feeling safe.

They fight because they are pit bulls. If they are from good breeding stock they should be fairly easy to break up. Have you tried throwing a heavy blanket on them. This usually interupts a dog fight and gives you a chance to physically get them away from each other. I am sure you love these dogs but they probably can't live together. Why would you make someone live with someone they didn't like? And it is not legal to use even pepper spray on dogs unless it has just bitten you so stun guns are probably out. At least that's the case where I live.

Sicko. Are you too lazy to teach your dogs how to get along? I don't care what breed they are, they fight because their owner is lazy and know wants to use a stun gun because they can't get off of their *** and take the time to teach their dogs some obedience. It's people like YOU that should not own dogs, or any other animal. Disgusting.

Oh wait, I hope someone calls the cops on you, throws your lazy *** in jail, and takes your dogs away and orders that you can't own anymore animals. I will be praying to God about this. This is so irritating and cruel. GROW UP you lazy ***.

Most states now have adopted cruelty to animal laws. The voltage may be a bit high for the size of a dog. I use a water hose and spray dogs that are out of control. That way I'm at a safe distance so that I don't accidentally get bitten. Have a great year.

How about training and/or rehoming one of them? A stun gun that is testing on humans may hurt the dog a great deal. You could also get charged with animal cruelty. I would rethink this plan....it doesn't sound very kind.

please do not use a stun gun on those dogs, keep them seperated and/ or invest some time and/ or money in some training. I'm sure you love your pets, they will love you more if you step up and be their pack leader. they are fighting to show the other who is more dominant, make them stop by showing them that you are the dominant one. oh and if you get caught using a stun gun on your dogs, you'll land yourself a civil suit in court.
