I leave a water bowl for it filled with fresh water, it eats its food but never drinks its water?

Well technically it's not mine because it's a stray cat. when it was born it's coat was shiny and black, but a few months ago it started to constantly scratch behind it's ears, and then the hair behind it's ears starts to drop. since the past week it has became worse and now there's not much hair on it's face anymore. what do you think is the cause of this?

About ten minutes ago I found him and picked him up. I was going to put him somewhere that I could see him. When I put him down he kind of fell to one side, then just lied down on the grass. I picked him up again and put him near his food and water. He didn't eat any food but he drunk heaps of water. He hasn't eaten all day.
His legs aren't strong anymore but they're always better than this. He can hardly walk :(
I'm crying right now cos i don't know how long I have left with him.

What do you think I should do about his legs?

Thanks heapss

My cat is 3 years old. His testicles did not drop till he was a year and a half. He has never sprayed, he doesn't go outside and shows no interest in other cats. My vet is pressuring me to get him fixed. I see no need. Am I wrong?

well i have owned my 2 beautiful cats that ive had since i was 2! we got them from a humane society when they were just kittens. they said that they were dropped off at a boy scouts place. my cat tillie does this thing where she kneads your lap with her claws and she only does it when shes in a good mood or sitting on yor lap. sometimes she'll just be sitting on the kitchen floor and she'll start to do that. well for my other cat roxy, she also kinda kneads but not as much and she only does it to a blanket. she also sucks on the blanket or scarf or what ever she can find like it is her mommy. could they be doing these things because they miss their mother or something else?? heh heh im a real curious persons o i ask every little thing on here! well please take ur best guess of what u think it is!

Last month, a mother cat came to my house ( she was abandoned by a family who moved ) with 5 kittens living underneath my steps. We decided to take them in- gave them a bed, food, water, litterbox, toys, and we've found homes for all of them. I recently treated all the kittens for fleas (and the mother). All of them seem healthy, playful, they eat hard/soft food and drink water. However, today i was petting one of the kittens stomachs and felt the smallest lump- it was not hard, but squishy and it caused him no pain. He is supposed to go to his new home on Sunday. I am wondering:

a) possibilities of what this lump is & does it need IMMEDIATE attention
b) should i leave the lump alone, give it to it's new owner, and when they bring it to the vet for its shots the veterinarian will take a look at it and determine the problem.

if you need any additional details, just ask! thanks in advance.

I have the typical small NYC apartment and my kitty gets restless. She likes to climb all over things and sit in high places. So I bought her a cat condo with 3 levels, however I've had it for 2 days and I can't get her to go near it.

Does anyone here have a cat condo? Did your cat like it right away or did it take some time? I read about how other's peoples cat's love it but maybe it takes some time to get use to?

I have an eight month-old kitty, who never buries her poop. She just lets 'em rip, and leaves her business sitting on top of the litter box. Then she lightly scratches the side of the box, and walks off; leaving her stinky poo for her brother or sister to clean up (which they often do). What's her problem?

My neighbor has had a cat since it was a kitten and it's been inside all its life sah also had it declawed. Well she put it outside because it didn't catch one mouse. I think its stupid and cruel because its been pampered and doesn't even know what to do outside and it's DECLAWED. Do you think this is some sort of animal cruelty?

She hasn't had them long because she just started to scratch within the week. If i use frontline and giver the dip will I still need to bomb my house. I have to toddlers and I can't just up and leave for an entire day. I will however wash bed clothes and couch stuff, etc. Will I need to isolate her or anything. Never dealt with them before because she is my first pet since home and never was outside until like 2 weeks ago.

I'd rather not use a harsh chemical substance on him. I've tried a natural flea collar that used essential oils, a flea powder made from various herbs... nothing seems to work and he is still scratching like mad. I'm about ready to use Advantage or Frontline, unless someone has a tried and true suggestion for me.
