No way, he will still be very affectionate. I think your boyfriend is is putting his own scared feeling into this. Your cat will be a calm, loving and a much healthier cat because you have decided to do the right thing.

If any change occurs it will be to make him more calm and more affectionate.
A lot of male humans have this nonsense idea of negative change as they imagine how they would feel if thay had the surgery.
I have had many cats in my life and all have been neutered and have been friendly and cuddly and affectionate as can be.
In fact I am typing this with one hand as my one cat thinks when i am at the keyboard it is the signal to come and sit in my arms and purr madly

By the way, of course there will be an initial change which is just the surgery recovery phase. he won't be as affectionate when he is recovering for the first few days
good luck

My kitten got spayed last month, and the only thing that changed was she wasn't as crazy. She jut slept alot for about 2-3 days, and then she was back to normal. She still plays alot, she just isn't as wild as new kittens are. But that changes as cats get older, with or without being fixed. She will still be affectionate, that won't change. Don't worry :)

don't worry, the cat will be fine but the first few hrs;when he gets home, he (may) get horney with another cat.but he will be ok in the morning.he wont want to roam, and he will love you. you should not use litter in the litter box for a few days instead use shreaded paper, this would reduce the risk of infection, and don't let him out during this time. it's no big deal.

His basic personality won't change. What will change, however, is that he won't want to roam as much or look for female cats in heat. He'll become more placid and mellow.

Your boyfriend's attitude might change after neutering and the cat's won't.

sure! sure! the greater youthful the greater suited ! Many animal shelters around the rustic will neuter/spay kittens as youthful as 8 weeks, in basic terms earlier adopting them out, a similar is going for domestic canines.
