My cat is not an outdoor cat but she loves to go outside sometimes. She also likes to go on walks. How do i make her stop being mean?

She is nervous and ''on guard'' when outside. There a lot of sights, sounds and scents she doesn't normally get to experience. Her wild feline is coming out and she probably enjoys it. You are mistaking her behavior for meanness.

She's just being a tiger. Domestic cats, like all cats, like to pounce and claw a bit and be real tough. I would suggest you play with her more and let her get some of the pouncing and clawing out of her system.

I hope you leash her when you walk together. Cats can disappear when outside, or spend hours up in a tree or on a roof. Believe me, I speak from experience.

Well it's quite simple really.

After intense investigation into the subject of animal behavior, there is only one conclusion and method in the 'changing' of natural animal traits.... and that is to create a time machine and travel to the point in time in where the molecular development of felines was taking place, and altering the DNA of which within is written the code and layout of every living thing on the planet.

You could try talking to your cat, but I doubt either of you will gain much from the experience...

WELL.....Good luck with that time machine I guess...

Your cat has a mind of her own, I'd hate being constantly controlled inside and outside too. Either keep her in, or let her go out whenever she wants. They are independent animals not like dogs who love company, they are solitary by nature and silent hunters by evolution. Either let her keep those qualities by letting her have some time to herself outside or make her a house cat. Personally I cant relate to cats, far too stuckup and moody for me.

transforming into up my cats have been consistently indoor/exterior cats. they'd are available in to snuggle and consume, yet performed out element lots of the day. My dad and mom had a huge backyard with wood and the cats would in simple terms wander around the community. All of my dad and mom pals knew our cats and performed with them besides. considering the fact that my dad and mom homestead became in a suburb there wasn't somewhat the possibility of untamed animals which you detect interior the county, or the rushing automobiles of a city. It became kitty cat paradise. Now I stay in a house off a school campus. i'd in no way dream of letting my cat exterior using fact of all of the site visitors. i think of it relies upon on the place you reside and what vaccinations your cat has had. Cats opt to be exterior yet some situations, like residing in a city, in simple terms are not suitable. it quite is often safer to maintain your cat interior, yet cats are happier whilst allowed somewhat extra freedom.

She is just being a cat.

Cats are highly territorial. They don't feel comfortable if they believe they are in someone else's territory. Hence, they act different. They act like they need to defend themselves.

Your cat probably doesn't like going on walks and only does them because she feels a need to be near you.

My advice is to stop trying to change your cat's behavior and stop taking her on walks.

Just leave her alone when she goes outside. She probably wants to be left alone to do her thing in the great outdoors.

My cat is the same damn way. My dad thinks its because they get a taste of freedom and dont want you to take it away from them.

I think she is scared of outside. Either let her go out more to get used to it, or keep her in.
