A window broke while I was at work and I'm told my cats got out. Well while escaping, one got a really nasty cut on one of her paw pads. Its like someone took a knife and sliced off some layers of the pad. It looks really nasty. It's obvious it was bleeding, may still be but she is licking it a lot. She's limping and obviously in a lot of pain....any advise? Is there any ointment I can put on it that won't make her sick if she licks it? Should I bandage it? Should I take her to the 24-hour emergency vet?? Please help it looks bad!

My cat just threw up 2" skiny beige coloured worms. She doesn't look so well. I don't know what kind they are. I'd like to know if they are able to spread to people or dogs. And what product do I use to KILL them. Thankx, Kitty

Hill's Prescription Diet Feline k/d
Purina One Weight Control Formula
Purina Friskies Ocean Whitefish and Tuna

I have 2 cats, one of them eats the prescription cat food that I mentioned and my other cat eats a mixture of the other 2 cat foods that I mentioned. Both of my cats still seem to be healthy, but I figured that I'd be safe than sorry, by asking about this on here.

My cat is very strong and a little aggressive sometimes. He also has a bad temper sometimes for no reason? He doesn't like to be petted or to be hold, only if he comes to you 1st for some loving. Those characters make it so hard to chop his nails. But if I don't cut them, all my quilt covers or couch covers are having scratches and big holes. He often goes through the big holes which he has created between my quilt and the covers and jumping/ running around. Headache yet??

These are my pet peeves:

* people who give every answer a thumbs down, regardless of how correct or incorrect
* people who give a thumbs down on a personal opinion, not a bad answer
* people who don't have e-mail available when you have something really important to tell them after an answer is closed
* Jessica and her biker ads
* people who answer serious questions with smart aleck answers
* people who answer with 'I don't know' just to get points
* people who ask stupid questions just to get a rise out of people (hypothetical question: How do I cook my pet, microwave or oven?)
* ignorant people who have pets and haven't the faintest idea how to care for them and feed them
* people who ask obvious ignorant questions (hypothetical example: my pet just got run over and I don't think it will live. What should I do?) Duh! What do you tell your hurt pet...hold on there, let me fire up the computer and see what people on Yahoo! Answers think? Gee, best answer: take to vet now!

She is having heat cycles constantly, about 2-3 weeks apart starting about 3 monthes ago, at the time she first came into heat at 6 monthes of age. I have never had a cat go into heat so early in her life, and so frequently. Is this something abnormal? She is my queen for a future savannah breeding, but this is just odd...? Any advice to help her? She wont be bred for another 3-5 monthes. I read that regulating her exposure to light will control this? Is this true?

My cat's nose is usually quite wet to touch, but today it's really dry.... Does this mean he is sick? He is eating, drinking and acting ok - maybe a bit more affectionate than usaul......

Thanks for your help!!

It's horrible. It's worst than human farts, it smells horrible. Please for the love of god, help me get them to stop. I have changed the cat food many times and they still continue to fart. I suspect that it may be a genitic trait because it's only the mother cat and her one offspring that does this. I gave them worm medicine and they still do it. Please my rooms are getting filled up with methane!!!

Do cats not like to be bothered when they're asleep? He usually accepts a treat when I give it to him.

My cat is on a steady diet. We haven't changed anything. I can tell she eats too fast and when she vomits, it is pretty much whole pieces of food. Is there anyway to get a cat to eat slower and take their time chewing so she doesn't puke???

I have a cat that sheds like crazy, and we gave him a special old blanket to lay on and now it's covered with hair, and I want to get it clean somehow. Not sure how to proceed, any suggestions would be welcomed.

I didn't know it, but the was an opening under my house. I just found 2 cats had been living under the house and now there are at least 4 kittens. The kittens are a few weeks old. I called the humane society and they said because they are feral cats, they'd all have to be put to sleep. I don't want to do that. I have NO PROBLEM paying the the cats to get fixed.

I need some advice (having never owned a cat)... I want to close off the area underneth the house, but I want to make sure the kittens are old enough. I also want to make sure that when I close it off there is no other kittens or cats under the house. How can I do this and be sure?

I want to wait until the kittens are old enough (they look about 5 weeks now), because I don't want to take them away from mom. I tried to put a little food out (I know, bad idea), and the kittens ate it fine. I have not touched any of them in fear of the mother cat stop taking care of one a human touched (I read that somewhere). Please HELP

My cat is seven years old, Female, fixed, and she is a complete wacko. I also have a other cat, Male - 5 yearold, neutered. So say when a family member steps on my male cat or maybe just screech for no reason, my female cat will attack him. If my female cat see's another cat outside [ theyre indoor cats ] then because she cant go attack him/her she attacks my male cat. Whats wrong with her ?

When we livedin a house before, he was an outside cat from about 20 weekstill about 2 years old. Then we moved into an apartment. Now we are back in a house and he is almost5 and is scared to death to go outside. What can I do to get him to be comfortable going outside?

And I know some of you may ask: Are his paws declawed? No I would NEVER do that to my cat that is horrible, he has his claws.

Advice?
