My cat is seven years old, Female, fixed, and she is a complete wacko. I also have a other cat, Male - 5 yearold, neutered. So say when a family member steps on my male cat or maybe just screech for no reason, my female cat will attack him. If my female cat see's another cat outside [ theyre indoor cats ] then because she cant go attack him/her she attacks my male cat. Whats wrong with her ?

If this is new and sudden your cat has seen something that has her upset. Often if something gets broken around the house my cats will fight against each other afraid that I will be angry with them. It's strange because I don't really get angry with them unless they are going to hurt themselves then I might holler their names. Watch to see if a strange cat has been hanging around your house that can cause your cat to become territorial. That's all I can think off. Good luck and there is no bad cat they just react to their environment.

How long has this been going on? Since you got the male cat? Or has it just developed recently?

If it's a long-term behavior, or just since you got the 5-year-old male, I agree with the previous answers.

If this behavior just started recently, it's possible your older female cat has been injured or is sick in some way that is hurting her. If this is the case she could be lashing out in a defensive manner.

Please take her to the vet.

Good Luck to you and your kitties.

she's very stressed out, try seperating the 2 for a few weeks, put the female in a room preferably with no windows and do not let her see or go near the male cat(keep him out of the room) and keep the female in the room, make sure to give her plenty of love and affection, see if she gets sweeter. my moms cat scarlett was very friendly until we got other cats, now she attacks them when she's mad and willl not be nice to you if theres another cat around. so try seperating them and see if that helps calm her down.

I think your cat is stressed, maybe you need to find her a quiet spot in your house so that she can feel safe there. If that doesn't work and the behaviour persists or gets worse, then take her to the vets. I hope this helps.

Nothing, she's a cat being a cat. If you want to save your male cats nerves tho, I would try letting them outside - cats do not always appreciate being shut inside, and it sounds like this one doesn't! You could get them in at night.

Sounds like she's at the top of the totem pole - its a dominance issue.
