Cats in the wild, were a nocturnal animal. They slept a lot in the daytime and hunted at night. Many owners find their cats too active at bedtime, which is a leftover from the feral days of the species.
To eliminate those nightly "rips" at bedtime, give them a good play session that keeps them running, jumping and dashing around. But as for the sleeping, you're out of luck. Cats set their own nap times and have no intention of changing it to suit a human.

Ahhh, it's a tough life being a cat you know - all that eating, sleeping and purring must be exhausting don't you think.
Seriously tho, most kitties are much more active at night - they're nocturnal creatures remember.

Most cats are very active, they sleep to recover their strength. As with humans they need their sleep to perform at their best.
