"If it's a girl it's pregnant" - what rubbish is this I'm hearing?? More proof of why Yahoo Answers is rarely the place to turn when you're worried!
Just to reiterate - the wet nose/dry nose thing IS an old wives tale! So long as kitty is eating/drinking as normal and has normal poo and seems otherwise fine, these are the things to watch.

A dry nose is not a sign of ill health, he's probably been in the sun and thats made it dry out. Keep an eye on him but Iam sure he's fine. If you're really worried take him to see your vet then they can put your mind at rest.

It's not likely that the cat has a problem. Sick cats generally become lethargic. If he's acting and drinking and eating fine, there's little chance of him having any kind of problem.

he is fine, cats noses should be dry, but grooming, drinking, even eating could moisten them. My cats nose is nearly always wet

a wet or dry nose is just an old wives tail, whether or not he is eating, drinking, having normal litterbox habits is more important.

He might be getting sick, or it might be nothing. In any case, better safe than sorry!
Good luck!
