As stated, go to the vet and don't get over the counter dewormers. There is a really good topical worm remedy that you can get from you vet so you don't have to worry about shots and dragging your cat to the vet every couple of months. And the good thing about the topical treatment is it is for all worms, where shots are generally for 1 kind of worm. Revolution is the name, and is not over the counter. Only vets can prescribe this. Really good stuff and it's available in the states as well as the UK and Germany (I got some from my vet in Germany last week).

It will be most effective to take your cat in to the vet. Worm treatment at the vet is usually inexpensive, and it works better than over the counter medicine.
Do it first thing in the morning, or as soon as you can. Chances are the worms CAN spread to dogs and other pets.

They are round worms. My cats had those too. Whatever you do, don't buy the stuff they sell over the counter because it doesn't work and it can be dangerous to your cats. Get some medicine at your vet. Round worms can spread to humans so it's best to not handle your cat much until you get it treated.

Hurray, all the answers are intelligent, no one telling you to force feed your cat motor oil or anything!
Yep, vet stuff is the answer - go at once. Drontal and Panacur are both good ones and come in tablets, paste, suspension or granule form. Revolution is good, but as a preventative measure, and does not treat tapeworms (although it sounds like roundworms in your cat). Yes, the worms can pass to you or your dog.

Sounds like hook worms, get her to the vet asap. Over the counters meds are not very effective for completely treating the infestation. It's safest to go to the vet before she dies. Good luck!

If she threw the worms up you must take her to the vet to make sure there aren't anymore, there is no other way to kill them if she threw them up as that means they are in her vital organs!!
