Our neighbor has 3 large dogs, and one cat. The last dog is now a 7 month old lab, who would love to run and fetch outside. The owner NEVER lets them out to play, only for a split second to pee. She keep her cat locked up in the shower stall in her bathroom for years. I am worried about the dogs, plus they have torn her place to shreds. She does not walk them so they get no socialization with other dogs or cat. I feel extremenly sick about how they are locked up and then hit by a newspaper if they start to get to playful. Well sure. they are full of energy. Thanks for listening.

Does anyone know the average cost of getting a cat declawed at Petco or Pets mart? I was wondering how much for all 4 paws. Thanks.

My kitty fell from the 7th floor. We sent it to the vet immediately. Apart from an injured limb, the vet also mentioned that it could suffer from internal bleeding in its bladder as there's blood in its urine. Any cure for that as the hospital doesn't seem to be doing anything to stop the problem. They are merely observing it. Please help.

Time for a reprise:

My cat (which I have never had spayed or inoculated) slept for three days straight, and then when he woke up, his eyes were puffy and red, and he was coughing, and stringy things like angel hair pasta were coming out of his butt, and then forty gallons of smelly purplish-brown goo came squirting out of his ears, and then his belly split open and candy came out and then his head fell off. Now he doesn't eat as much as he used to, and is peeing in the bathroom sink instead of his litterbox. What should I do? Is there some kind of home remedy I can try?

I can't afford the vet, but I didn't let that prevent me from getting the cat in the first place. I figured it was like a lava lamp, and it would be fun to watch.

Our 6 month old kittens just began shedding 2 days ago. One keeps vomiting up his food, and I think it's because of the fur. I have a soft brush and a slicker brush from my previous cat and neither catches up any fur, but I have plenty on my shirt when I hold and pet kitties. They have short, but very thick fur.

What type of brush should I be using to reduce the fur fly? Also, in the past, I used Laxatone for fur balls. It worked and my kitty liked it. Is this still a good product or are there better choices?

I've had my 5 month old female kitten Bailey since she was 8 weeks old and she has always had quite a little temper on her especially when you try to hold her. She'll swat your face and sink her claws into your nose or try biting your hand. Now that she's getting bigger it really hurts! She's quite the defiant little monster and is already the alpha kitty. I also have a 7 month old female kitten and a 2 year old female cat. Bailey has been given lots of love but she still has such a little temper! Any suggestions to deal with this bad behavior? I've never had a kitten behave this way before. Bailey will let you pet her whenever the other cats aren't in the room.

I have two outside sometimes inside cats I have had one for 4 years and the other for a little over a year. They are both male, the older one has always been a little bit aggressive but recently he will not let the younger one come home. I have seen the older one chase the younger one up a tree and fight him. This diden't start happening until recently. I have no idea why but wish it would stop what would randomly cause this? I thought it could have something to do with spring maybe?

I took my cat to the vet. yesterday. Usually she is very loving with me. She wants to be held all the time. Well, since I took her and she got her shots, she puts her ears down at me when I talk to her or pet her. I have been trying to give her a lot of love and attention to show her that I love her very much. She just still seems to be keeping her distance from me and sleeping a lot. I know that its hard for her to understand that I did it for her own good. I also found out from the vet that she is very rare, because she is a female orange tabby. She said that there are not very many orange tabby females anymore. I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of what might be bothering my precious baby girl, and if that is true about female orange tabbies being rare. Thanks for your help. I am really concerned that I have broken our bond or put a dent in our relationship... Thanks

He is an indoor/outdoor cat. He obviously got in a fight or something, and there is no way i could get my dad to take him to the doctor. It's really hard to describe the wound, it's not a slit or scratch, it looks like two rather deep chunks of skin taken off, each one of the 'holes' are right next to each other and are about a centimeter wide, and you can see visible depth. There is no hair in the area of the wound and the wounds themselves are blood red and still very wet, not dry scab. He constantly licks it. I am very worried, what can I do to treat his wound? Help! This cat is my life.

My 2 cats will only eat the packaged minced kangaroo-lamb type foods you get from the meat section of the supermarket, or one certain brand of dry food. Is there any problem with either of these? They have plenty of fresh water available at all times. Also my 2 dogs, a Jack Russell and a chihuahua eat from the same plate and bowl as the cats, so share their diet. They are both healthy, not overweight or anything, so is this a problem? They do have some dry dog food outside which they occasionally have a bit of, but won't eat unless the cats have had their share first.

I while ago my cat had a severe UTI (Urinary Tract Infection), and I was given medicine from the vet. Now that I've finally gave my cat its final pill, it seems be much healthier, and I believe the infection is gone.

But I'm wondering, should I go back to the vet and ask what more is there to do (the vet never said anything about coming back, though) or should I leave my cat as it is?

My cat is abouy 7 months old and I HATE leaving her alone. I go to work and get my job done, but I come straight home. I try not to leave the house much on the weekends.....cuz I feel SO guilty leaving her alone. My husband and I are mostly homebodies anyway, but even tomorrow for Easter, we have to leave the house for most of the day and I am so dreading it. I think she is lonely and needs another kitten friend, but hubby says WE can't have two cats. Please guys I need help, I am ruining my life, at least my social life, but I love my kitty so much. Do you think she is that miserable all alone?

I'm going on 2 months of being unemployed. My 1 year old kitty (Rocky) has a cold and I can't afford to take care of him anymore. I love him immensely but he will be better off with someone who can give him everything he needs. I live in Woodside, Queens, New York. Does anyone know how I go about finding him a good home?
